Why does my 2003 Mitsubishi Lancer have a 1.6 L
In 2003, the Lancer (or equivalent) was manufactured and sold with engine sizes of 1.3L, 1.5L, 1.6L, 1.8L, 2.0L, and 2.4L, depending on where it was manufactured or originally sold. Mitsubishi is an international manufacturer, you know.
Front end clunk
It's usually a sway bar link and/or sway bar bushing.
Disconnect it and try that for less noise before buying parts.
The horn on my 2003 lancer would not stop going
A couple of things to try, it may be that your car has an alarm that has been triggered, and the horn is the announcement indicating an 'attempted' theft.
So you can try to find out if this is the case.
If the battery has been drained sufficiently to 'confuse' the electronics, then one way I was able to work around this was to disconnect the main battery and wait a few mins, then reconnect it. The alarm may clear or trigger again.
Sometimes by using your remote you can clear this condition or using your key in the driver side keyhole and going the steps (for my car it was to lock and unlock), for others it could be doing something like this in sequence.
The last resort is to disconnect the horn. (of course then you have no horn and in New York City..this can be a real problem)..good luck
