These water pumps are know to fail internally. The blade may freespinning. You will need to remove the water pump and inspect.

Abs, brake and dsc ligth are permanet on
Hi There,
Not to worrry, this usually occurs when the car is old as long as you ensure your brake pads are well fixed, you can ignore this and continue driving. Just ensure your breakpads have been newly changed.
Cheers.

Hi can you help i have a 2004 mondeo st tdci
Hi,
Look for a dial control (near your headlamp switch) and see if you can adjust it back to "0" position.
If there is no dial or headlamp adjustment control, then you will need to take the vehicle to a local garage that has the correct Optical machine and they can align the headlights correctly, for a small fee.
Note: correct headlight aim is a requirement for most countries, before a Warrant of Fitness is issued.
Cheers,

Turn the ignition on my 330i fuel pump buzzing ok
Bad pump. Bosch pump no less. about $120 on line for just the pump. You can also buy the entire assembly which includes the sending unit that reports back to the fuel gauge. auto parts and bmw sell that thing for three times the price. The same pump is used in many many of different series BMW's. After 60,000 miles they are changed out as part of routine preventative maintenance, because a bad pump will leave that hot babe driving it stranded at the mercy of the local bugger pullers.

I would like to reset the check engine light on my
Hi as the car is BMW the only way you can reset it yourself is to buy an electronic tool that will plug into your cars engine management system, that will allow you to reset this light!!
You can buy this tool from 80-100 Pounds.
Other cars such as ford and peugeot etc can reset there light by using buttons on the dash board, but BMW, Mercs and Lexus don't have this function.
Your local garage will also be able to turn the light off, but will charge a small FEE!! So you will need to decide weather it is financially worth buying the tool to do it yourself or just pay the garage.
If you are planning on keeping the car for several more years if would be worth buying one as it will also provide you with the error codes, should your car have a problem and you will also be able to use it on other cars in the future if you do part with your BMW.
They are worth having if you work on cars yourself, as it will provide you with all error codes.
Let me know how you get on!! And if you need any further assistance. Thanx Paul

Turn the ignition on my 330d fuel pump buzzing ok
test power to starter with a voltmeter while someone else turns the key. if you are getting power, than solenoid is faulty. If you are not getting power, than relay or ignition switch is bad. Do double check your battery connections to make sure they are metal to metal contact.

I have an 01 330ci and a similar thing happened to me... The dealership indicated that they have only ever replaced a handful of actual fans in these cars (and that they're tucked down deep in the dash...) but my issue was what they referred to as the "final stage unit." It was this bulky multi-pronged metal plug that went in behind the glove box. I believe it only cost me about $80-$90 from the dealership last summer. And I think only an hours labor from the mechanic I used.
