Had front brake pads and

Have a different mechanic pull the calipers and inspect the pads, chances are you have a stuck piston and the pad has worn out. At the same time also check the Rotors for rough surfaces. You may have had excessive heat and caused the steel to harden up in places and this area won't wear at the same rate.

2007 Vue door rattle

Remove the window trim at the rear of the front door. (There is a screw on the inside of the door frame at the top of the door. ) Place 3 or 4 thick beads of silicone adhesive on the inside of the trim piece. Don't put the adhesive on the alignment tabs. replace the trim and let the silicone cure overnite. I've had no problems for 35,000 miles since I did this.

Rattling noise(s)

remove front door window trim and place 3 or 4 beads of silicone adhesive on the inside of trim to hold it to the door frame. replace the trim and let the silicone cure overnite. It's a design flaw. I had the same problem, the dealer kept replacing it and it still rattled. After I put the sealer on it, I haven't had any noise for 35,000 miles. Good Luck!!

2007 saturn vue 4 cylinder - change oil

if you've never done this before, i wouldn't experiment...instead, find a friendly mechanic that will do the job and allow you to look on as he completes the work :o)
P.S. ALWAYS take your own WALMART oil filter and use MOBIL ONE, I think your car is 5W20 and takes 4 qts. Then only change the filter every 5k-(when you rotate the tires) and at 15k do a complete drain and filter!
Good Luck

Saturn vue 2007, rear folding seat will not return

They have a problem with the seatbelt retractor getting jammed up causing the belt to jam & not let the rear seat fold back up.The easiest way to get the seat back up is to cut the seatbelt & fold up the seat. Then the rear seat needs to be disassembled to gain access to the seatbelt retractor assy which has the seat belt made on.Hopefully it's still under warranty or Ext. warranty.hope this helps

The key to my 2008

I have a 2008 Saturn VUE. I had the problem where my key would not turn to off and I wouldn't be able to take it out of the ignition it was also on ACC. So even though I had power in my car it might be the same problem you have. I just kind of hit the shift up when it was in park. This should unlock the key. You should hear a click and after that you should be able to turn it all the way off and take the key out.

Can you siphon gas from

Not sure on that particular model, as some have a filter screen in the filler neck preventing a tube from being stuck down into the tank. Only one way to find out, stick a piece of garden hose down the filler neck ( use about a 4 foot section) if it only goes in a few inches to a foot, you will have to drain the gas by disconnecting the fuel line at the tank and pressure pump it out.
