Why does my fuse keep blowing? I got no heater,it use to work only on number 4, then stopped it all stopped working,I replaced heat resister,it was worn out,but now fuse keeps blowing with heater not
By now it could well be the heater motor, a bad switch, or chaffed wires. Those are the things that could go wrong. You could isolate the motor by itself and add 12volts to it to see if it spins. Same for the switch, but that's a bit more tricky. Use a meter for continuity, but you'll have to add power on a circuit breaker soldered in line. if it pops, on the motor, the motor is bad. if it pops on the switch, the switch is bad. If neither, then there is a chaffed wire under the dash somewhere. Old fashioned sleuthing, but it works.
What do I do next
The problem isn't the converter. When a converter is glowing red, there is too much unburned fuel in the exhaust system and the converter is trying to burn it up, but can't. The honeycomb inside the converter will melt down soon if it already hasn't. Unburned fuel could be an engine miss from a bad spark plug, defective O2 sensor, plug wire or other.
Why does my blower only work on number 4
this sounds like a bad blower motor resistor that is bad and only working when the switch is put in the 4th position. the resistor has resistors wires in it that respond to the path of power through fan switch on the dash, depending on which fan speed you need.
Car won't start but lights on dash light up
You need to post more info. Does it make noise when you try to turn it over?
Could be the fuel shutoff was triggered if it got bumped. Reset button on that is in the trunk.
Might be a fuse. Might be fuel line flooded. There is not enough info to make a determination.
I have a 2002. I have images of the battery that really,,,
ok post the pics but if the insulation is burnt you seem to know the problem i'd change the battery and all damaged wires/leads , make sure you check the alternator charge rate immediately on install of new battery as could be over charging
