ok did you follow the ignition timing and firing order set up correctly did you turn either the crank or cam shaft/s with out the chain did you do a compression test to check for bent valves

Verify battery condition by turning on headlights and seeing if they are bright. If ok, the theft system may be activated. Try locking and unlocking doors with the key fob. This will usually reset the theft deterent system.

Check all fuses first then use voltage tester to see if power feed is ok!

you mean the part that connects into the steering to lock the wheel into place when key is removed and wheel turned ,have done a couple but i just cannot think straight tonight ,i seem to remember a toothed wheel on the bottom of the steering wheel and this part locks that up i think ,providing that the steering cannot lock up then leave it out no one except yourself will ever know
