My 1995 Buick Regal is not starting, checked

Remove the connectors and probe them with an ohmmeter. Connect one lead of your meter to the terminal with the yellow wire and the other lead to the terminal with the purple wire. Set the parking brake and shift the transmission through the gears. When in park or neutral, the meter should read zero ohms. 0900c152800680d2-jnh1p0frnkt3q2fbcpfimq4v-1-1.gif

Odometer, tachometer, speedometer, and gas gauge suddenly stopped working.

Sounds like the body control module has gone bad. It has a relay that caries considerable current to all of these accesories and wears out.It can also be a solder joint on the circuit board where this relay mounts.Hope this helps, Robert

I have 1996 Buick regal gransport and my security light on my dash came on today. What does tht mean? It has never came on before. Is it important to fix or is it minor? What can I do bout it?

usually the security light comes on when the Chip on the key is not being read. this triggers the security light. With mine I had to replace the ignition switch to get it to read the key. If its just the light no problem, BUT if your car starts to develop a crank without starting this means its time to change that faulty ignition switch

How do you get the plugs out of the fan motor of 1994 Buick Regal

The plugs have a clip where the plugs meet that have to be push down then pulled apart, and sometimes there hard to pull apart and sometimes not. Just take your time and look at the plug closer and you will see what I'm talking about.

Where is the brake-shift interlock override located on a 1999 Buick Regal?

It should be located right by the shifter under a little pop out cover. It'll be the size of 1/2 " x 1/4" rectangle

The correct crank pulley puller for a 1995 Buick Regal Custom 3.8

Using a standard harmonic balancer puller with 3 bolts that are just a bit too large for the 3 openings if possible., Tap them with a die large enough to get a decent grip with the bolts and remove it like any other. If that won't work then just drill and tap 3 holes for the remover. I generally use 10 MM bolts when I do mine. img_4536-undefined-undefined-0.jpg

Removing harmonic balancer on 96 regal 3.8

YES YOU DO HAVE TO HAVE A SPECIAL ADAPTER FOR THE NORMAL BALLANCER PULLER. NAPA HAS THE TOOL AND THE # IS BK700-2461. ONCE AGAIN THE ADAPTER IS USED WITH THE BALLANCER PULLER YOU ALREADY HAD. YOU HAVE TO SCREW THE EXTENSIONS INTO THE BALLANCER AND INSERT ANOTHER EXTENSION INTO THE CRANKSHAFT TO GET THE OLD ONE OFF. WHY G.M. DID THAT TO US IS STILL A MYSTERY.
