Disconnect all speaker connections and rca cables. Leave power, ground and remote wires intact. Try turning on again. If you still have a protection light your amp is faulty. Hopefully you have warranty. Your amp is clipping.

Cooling fans are your friend. You can power them with the remote and ground terminals on amp.

well id say you have cooked your amp and or subs they can only take beatings for so long. show it no mercy it gives it back, does amp smell do subs smell borrow amp see if subs are ok if so it will be your amp.new one .keep the gain down??
are u sure u have them running at the right ohms, for not only the subs but the amp too...if you go lower than your amp is rated you can fry stuff...via protect mode......hopefully this helps
did you check all fuses on amp and coming from battery power wire? also check the ground and rca cables connecting to the unit and make sure the remote wire (small blue wire) didnt come lose thats usualy a sign for the red light
Since I do not know your technal capabilities I can not suggest that you fix it yourself. I would definitely look into finding a reputable service shop that deals with car audio. Not every electronic technician has the know how to attack or attempt such a task.
Power caps store power from the battery and they feed constant power to the amp so you dont get no drainage! this could be one reason..
have you bridged both subs and wat gauge wire are you using.
these amps can only handle one bridged sub at 4ohms and this amp is recommended that u use 8gauge or higher. if your running to subs i normally reccomend using 4 gauge power wire as you get more rms power feed to the amp
you can get a power cap or anyother accersory cheap online at my suppliers.. caraudiosecurity << click to enter >> hope this helps and please rate me :)
I would first need to know what the impedance level is for that sup. You may be able to hook this in mono or in stereo. But you definitely do not want to connect it up to the amplifier where as to cause damage.
there should be a small sesistor soldered onto where the wires are, if so, then this has blown, in some cases, you can remove this, but you will lose any overload protection that it was originaly put there for
Amp wires are direct to battery..as far as sound, you need a line level converter to connect to your rear speaker wires (left/right) that sends the signal to the converter and switches it to RCA level outputs. You would then just connect an RCA cable from the converter to the amp and there you go. A converter is $20-$50 depending on the quality you want. The better ones connect to pos/neg and have a metal caseing.
the amp may not be powerful or your setting on the cd player is not right try adjusting the cd player. turning the gain all the way up will damage your subs even go above halfway
make sure you run your ground and power wires on one side of the car and the rca's on the other, keep them sepparate. if you have all wires running to your amp(rca's/12v power/remote), then you run the chance of either getting interference from the alternator, or if you have a pinched wire(usually by the door step) it may short with your battery wire. Double check your rca's and make sure they're ok and also check for corrosion on your wires.
