THAT MAY BE COINCIDENCE. I HAD MINE QUITTING WHILE I WAS GETTING INTO POSITION TO SHOOT A PICTURE. I DIDN'T BOTHER WITH REPAIR AND BOUGHT AN OLYMPUS VR-320. MUCH SIMPLER AND QUICKER TO SHOOT.

Two methods, one if this function is installed on your camera you can choose to format the card which will delete everything on the card.

Two if the above is not available you can put your card in your computer if there is a slot for it or connect your camera via USB to your computer. Locate the memory card and format it to remove everything, this is faster than choosing the delete option.

My camera has no power even if i put new batteries.

go in to menu scroll to panarama mode press set go back to picture mode you should have wide mode

If you can't find any decent Sony store, please try an universal charger. Today you can find its of different universal chargers, costing less then any brand own charger. And you can put any rechargeable battery on it. Please look for a complete automatic one, if you don't have enough tech skills. The great thing about my charger is, when traveling I only need one charger for all the (different) camera's in the family.

Slide the cover of the battery compartment on the base of the camera, away from the center toward one end. Hope this help! :-)

This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries. Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo management program such as Picasa. Organize edit and share your photos

Did you try to charge the battery. For printing the battery, needs enough power. If the camera senses there is not enough power to print one complete picture, it will shut down. Sometimes you could shoot 10 or 20 pictures, but you can't print one picture, for the lack of power.
