The machine starts then suddenly
That's one for the repair shop, really. The seal is usually bent inwards so it can withstand the pressure of the hot water, but once it's able to flex out it needs to be replaced.
Senseo 7814 does not heat water and red light keeps flashing
is the red light flashing as though not enough water, if so use a magnet to connect to the valve inside the machine, the valve can be found along the water level where the float is. what is happening is that the float is stuck. by connecting the magnet to the valve and very slowly moving the magnet along the water level, upwards the valve will follow and the water will begin to heat as the light changes to a slow flash, if it doesn't work try again as you have not connected to the magnet
My Phillips Senseo only produces a small amount of water why?.
Hi Have you tried to clean and de-scale it, limescale can really play havoc with these sort of devices. If you still have the instruction book give it a read and follow instructions for de-scaleing. Also there is a cleaning cycle on some of the models which just flushes the senseo through to clear it out again it is in the book but if I remember rightly you fill up the resoviour then turn it on and put a large bowl under the spout and press both the one and two cup buttons at once. But I would do a descale phillips say it should be done about every 3 months this should also clean out any other muck that has built up, they also say to clean out the pod holder including the little hole. The Phillips website has help if you have lost the booklet.
Top is stuck and won't open
It sounds like the closing lever is stuck. Pop off the gray panel on the top of the machine. There is a clear-white plastic gizmo with pins on the left and right side. Those pins go into the knuckles connected to the closing lever.
If you pull the plastic gizmo toward you, you might be able to get the machine to open. It's best to just get the @&*^$'s pins into the knuckles. Good luck!
