Gate will not close manually but will open

This is such a low information and general question I doubt my answer will be accurate but if we assume you mean it won't open using a remote but will open by pushing the button on the operator board, we can then assume you have an issue with either the transmitter or the receiver. The transmitter, also known as a remote or clicker, may have a dead battery or if it uses dip switches, someone changed them. It could also simply have gone bad. If you have a receiver with a learn button, you may need to reprogram the transmitter. You will need to find out what kind of receiver you have first, then follow the instructions on it to reprogram the remote. You can find the receiver by looking for the antenna. Follow this to a box, usually about the size of two packs of cigarettes. Look on the back for a model name and number and do a search for the manual. If it is a dip switch type, make sure the dip switches on the transmitter and the receiver are in the exact same position. You might want to follow up your original post with pictures of the receiver and transmitter. This will help determine the next step.

My garage door won't go down and keeps blinking 10 times.

first, hold the wall button down and do not let up and the door will close for you. second, one of the wires to your sensors is loose, broken or shorted out by a staple thru the insulation. you can bypass the sensors on a temporary basis while you find the issue, by jumping the sensor connections at the motor.

The garage Remote control was working normally at

It could be the garage door motor that is acting up. Try closing it with the button in the garage. If that's not the case, you may need a different garage door opener.

Overhead light turns on when walking into garage. sensors turn it on. how can we fix this?

Hi Laura: Mine does this too. I just thought that it was supposed to do this as it made sense to me. The light automatically turns off after a few minutes, so if the sensor indicates that someone is walking in and out while the door is open, the light stays on. I'm thinking........... It ain't broke..... don't fix it.

Door closes and reverse itself

The most likely cause of this problem is that the door is unexpectedly hitting the ground before the shut off of the motor. It is possible that the door is also jamming which makes the unit think there is an obstruction. If there is no mechanical problem with the door itself, you can make adjustments to the up/down force and the up/down limits. These adjustments are at your lifter motor unit and you should check or download your particular manual. I have linked a video showing the basics for this adjustment.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GebkW96Sd_c

When pressing remote, there is a short electrical hum, but the door fails to move. Up or down.

Sounds like the opener has opened to far and the trolley is now jammed against the stop bolt.

Garage door will close, stays shut for a few

The opener is closing too far. On the side of the opener, you should see 2 white knobs, recessed into the side. Using a flat blade screw driver, adjust the close knob (closest to the door side of the opener), anti-clockwise until the door will close gently on the floor.

I replaced the screw sprocket coupler and the door doesn't close all the way.

If it's just off a little you can adjust the limits. If it's off alot you need to take the gear set back out and set the belt / chain / screw to the closed position. run the operator to the closed position and then install the gear set.

I have a problem with

I have the same problem. Door does not open or close when press the push button and/or transmitter. The light flashes 5 times. Manually open or close the door is ok. On the manual troubleshoot, it says it's either the opener is overheated or it's on vocation mode. I don't know how to switch of vocation mode. Is it possible the thermal sensor is broken?
Can someone help?
