Hi! Try not to use anything wet next time, just special tissues with soft chemicals only. And keep laptop switched off while you clean it! Do following:

1. Get notebook to service, or next steps:
2. Download service manual from the internet;
3. Unscrew two keyboard bolts;
4. Push tiny screw driver in those two holes;
5. DO NOT DETACH keyboard immediately, just turn it slowly untill you can see wiring;
6. check if surfaces on and under the keyboard are clear and dry;
7. find keyboard wiring;
8. detach it carefully;
9. dry the laptop;
10. check connection and put small wires back again...

Have fun if it is working. If not - change the keyboard.

Most laptops use a key combination for these kinds of tasks. Things like volume, wifi access, or screen brightness can be modified usually by holding a function key. This key is usually marked with "Fn" and you hold it down while pressing on of the F keys at the top of the keyboard (F1, F2, etc til F12.) to perform the task. Now, some computers have a "function lock" ability. Which basically means you do not have to hold that Fn key to do tasks. Could be that has been enabled. I would say your OS is broken. Can you acess your bios menu?

Go to Control Panel, Hardware and Sound, Devices and Printers. Select "Mouse". Check to see what the settings are there and if you can reenable your device. It will probably be under "Hardware". If that doesn't work, go to lenovo.com and download and reinstall the device drive for your touchpad device.

Nothing, just plug it into the USB port on the XP. It should install as a memory device, when prompted on the tablet say confirm set up as a memory device.

Almost all laptops require a battery be installed for them to power up. Even if the battery no long holds a charge, it still requires a battery to be installed.

The actual drive is faulty and needs replacing. The PC cannot get a valid response from the drive when it starts up, so that is why it does not show up. The registry will show that device used to exist, it is not removed when it fails.

Another way to turn on the wireless radio on your Lenovo Y510 is to press and hold the "Fn" key, then simultaneously press the "F5" key.

This is an alternative way to switch the wireless antenna on or off without using the physical WIFI switch.
