I have the Firex i4618, after changing the battery it continues to chirp, have tried 2 new Duracell proper model batteries with same result.

Smoke Detecotrs have a limited lifespan of 5-7 years. So sounds like you need new one (Its not worth to buy just a sensor). Take a look on amazon Amazon: Amazon com Smoke Alarm. I hope this helped you. Have a nice day

HOW TO TURN OFF Co2 Alarm BEEPER?

Question edited for clarity. Please don't type in all CAPS, it is considered SHOUTING and is harder to read.Question moved from Washing Machines Category. Is it hard wired or battery powered? Replace batteries. Remove the cover and vacuum it with the circular vacuum brush. If it is older than 10 years it needs replacing. If it is a Kidde, there is a hard wired electronic timer in it that beeps at 10 years and doesn't stop. It is written in tiny writing on the back. I found that out the hard way. :>)There is also the possibility that there is a constant Co2 source from something, heater, furnace, stove etc.https://www.google.com/search?q=why+does+my+co2+alarm+keep+beepingAlso, Carbon Monoxide is CO, not Co2 (Carbon DiOxide). Unless you are in a beer cellar with Co2 dispense by a gas bottle. I had one, I owned a pub...

Why is Model KN-COEG-3 Kidde Carbon monoxide and smoke detector keep beeping when I replaced batteries with fresh ones and it just keeps beeping every 20 seconds?

It is time to replace it. From the instructions. IMPORTANT: Seven (7) years after the initial power up, this alarm will "beep" every 30 seconds to indicate that it is time to replace the alarm. Replace the alarm immediately! It will not detect CO in this condition. copy and paste. https://www.kidde.com/home-safety/en/us/support/help-center/browse-articles/articles/what_causes_consistent_chirping_.html

Some of Our Kidde i9040 alarms will routinely beep at night even tho I just replaced batteries 6 mo. ago. The alarms are only a yr. old. Why do they only chirp at night?

Make sure you use quality batteries. 9V lithium, sometimes called max life or ultralife may be just the ticket as they will likely last for years. Also be sure your smokes were wired correctly. If the beeping occurs only at might, perhaps they were improperly wired through a light switch, meaning that they may not be getting power all of the time. If you don't know how to check this yourself using a volt meter or tick meter, have an electrician check to be sure there are no wiring issues...good luck!

Can you please help me find a manual for a kidde carbon monoxide detector? The model number is kn-cop-dp-10ybca (900-0282ca)

Past link below in your browser and scroll down to the documents tab that is just above the blue picture of the girl sleeping. Once you click that documents tab you should find the link to open the manual.

If it's no longer working, just discard in trash. It doesn't contain any hazardous materials. If it's still working, then donate it.

What does the code 203 on my wired in Kidde Carbon Monoxide Detector mean. It went off and that is the code that came up. It was installed in 2009. We might have replaced it since then.

Unless the number was displayed in alternation with 888, leave the house and call 911. You need to have someone to check your appliances for incomplete burning, leaks in their exhaust piping or a vehicle that is running inside or too close to an air intake. The 203 is the current carbon monoxide reading. The 888 indicates a self-test and other number is only shown for test purposes. Please stay safe. Cindy Wells

Schematic for a Kidde model KN-COSM-IB

Three things about this: 1 It may be under recall depending on its age and if it is over 10 years old, replace it. 2. The unit has a radio active source and should not be tampered with. 3. The information that you are asking for is proprietary and not available.

I have installed Kidde model i12060 smoke

If this is a new site that has to be OK'd by the building inspector then he is a small minor deity and you must do everything you can to not tick him off or he'll run you thru the wringer, so put it where he says. If it's a friend who is a building inspector then put 'em where you want them. Mine are mounted on the ceiling. Their site says 12". http://homeappliance.manualsonline.com/manuals/mfg/kidde/smoke_alarm_model_i12060.html?p=3

3 new Kidde i4618 smoke

smoke detectors work by smelling the air across a radioactive anode which upsets the electronics and sets off the alarm it can be set off not only by smoke but by heat and gasses in the air the new and better product is a photo electric detector which alerts earlier and can be installed connected to each room and into the house power or they come with a 10 years lithium battery It could be a faulty unit so take it back for a warranty exchange unit

Kiddle smoke detector, electrical, keeps beeping,

Either it thinks it has a low battery, or there's dust in the detection chamber. Try clearing the chamber with some compressed air. Or replace the battery.

Try another hard whack. If that does not undo the initial damage, nada will and you have a nice paper weight.

Rental mgmt company just installed

They only chirp for two reasons: 1. The sensor is past its useful life and needs replaced 2. There is a power issue with the battery. Even the ones that are hardwired into the electrical system need a battery.

Hi, I have two

Carbon monoxide detectors have a fixed life span. You did not post the model number and there is no way to tell how long it ago it or the parts in it, were made.
