I HAVE BEEN GIVEN AN UNUSED JAZZ JCD 15 CAMERA FOR WINDOWS 98 OR WINDOWS ME. IS IT POSSIBLE TO CONNECT IT TO A TOSHIBA LAPTOP WITH WINDOWS 7. IS IT POSSIBLE PLEASE?
The drivers, made for older windows versions, won't work on a Windows 7 or up machine. Not even in compatibility mode. Microsoft needed to make windows more secure, so only allows drivers in there modern operating systems when they have a Microsoft certificate. For a certificate the manufactures must use Microsoft protocols, ask Microsoft for certification, and pay for the tests Microsoft does, to check the software is correct. So no manufacturer will ask for certification of drivers for hardware they no longer sell.
Long story, but unless you can write your driver yourself, or you can find an universal camera driver (not sure something like that exists) you won't be able to use the camera. Nobody does tell you, after you update your OS you also have to buy new hardware to.
How to download a recording?
I don't know about your particular camera, but I have a similar Canon. Downloading via the supplied software takes an age. I just take the SD card out of the camera, stick it in the computer and drag the files over.
You say you have installed the camera drivers, so basically you should be able to copy the clips direct from the camera using Explorer.
Unless you use the camera download software - which is just a basic editing/download suite, yYou might need file conversion software to deal with them afterwards, depending on the format the camera saves to. You'll know because if you click play and Windows says it doesn't recognize the file, you'll need to convert it. I use Wondershare Video converter but the are many choices out there.
Why camera only takes one picture at a time?
It sounds like there is a software or memory problem in the camera. It may be cured with a different memory card, if the problem is corruption of the flash memory. It may be cured with fresh batteries. There may be some way to reset it or get repair parts, if that is what's required. Research tells me that it is a 5 megapixel camera, from around 2006. You can get a replacement online for around $35.00, but you could generally get a better camera than that for the same price.

How to download pictures from camera to laptop
before you can download pictures, you should install the software that came with the camera. On the CD are not only drivers for all known operating systems, but also the software, needed for the computer ro recognise the camera and to stream the pictures to the computer.
If you don'e have a CD anymore, try the website from the firm where the camera came from. Or use software like lightroom, gimp or Flickr
It is a jdc77 camera
Use the USB cable supplied with the camera.
Its supposed to be plug and play.

Jazz hdv 180
Specs show SD/SDHC memory card slot for adding up to 8 GB.
I would recommend SDHC that is high speed (class 10 or above) and high capacity.
