Stuck in drive
Hello
This problem is sometimes caused by a defective brake light switch. It provides power to the shift lock switch to enable gear shifting. There is a TSB for this issue so it can be fixed at the dealer for free.
Thanks for using Fixya.

2007 hyundai tiburon positive battery connector problems
I discovered the same problem underneath my positive cable terminal for my '08 Tiburon. So far I have cleaned the terminal and strapped the two pieces together using 12 guage house wire. It's working today but the replacement part from the dealership is $115 which includes the entire positive cable assembly. I was hoping to only have to pay for a new positive terminal bracket but they don't sell such part. That would be less expensive and not enough revenue for Hyundai. It amazes me how cheaply this car was made. My next car will be a Chevy, Honda, or Toyota. Hyundai did not produce a quality car I can trust. I do not like to be left stranded. If you locate a source for less for this part, please share. Thanks
Iphone 5 charging and connection problems
You need to figure out the amperage of the usb port in the Veracruz, the dealer should have access to that. If the port isn't putting out more than 500ma the iPhone may fail to charge. I recommend a charger atleast 1amp or higher. You either need to connect using bluetooth to the audio system or a hard wired aux cable to the input of the veracruz.
My 2008 santa fe will not jump start and the alarms are sounding
Hey,, Your alarm system is malfunctioning.. This will do exactly what your describing above, Hopefully its not Factory installed,, That way you can locate it under the dashboard, and Unjack the wires running into it.. you will be fine then until you get it replaced.if it was factory installed contact your dealer for the location of it if its and external box or connected to the cars CPU or built in.. If its built in you will need a new CPU and remotes. If its external your in luck, Get the location of it and unjack it..by unjack i mean there is a harness connecting to it, unplug the harness..nothing is wrong with your battery, The immobilizer system shut the car down. PS before you try any of the above see if you can disarm it with a spare remote.
My genesis remote will not lock car doors
Is your remote a part of the key? Meaning is it a key FOB like in the dodge line of cars? Or is it a separate remote?IF separate, first check for major damage to device (water?). If none, you may need new batteries! IF you have a FOB, again consider damage which requires dealership replacement. This is most likely the answer if your extra key FOB that came with the car still functions properly. Also some FOB require batteries (Call dealership to see if yours does).IF FOB is not the answer or if your car does not even have a FOB, then it is posssible that your modulator that controls that doors response to the remote or FOB has gone bad. This is bad news and can be expensive to fix. Has to be done by dealership because it usually requires the dashboard to be remove to access the needed area. This is true for a Charger and a BMW. Hope that this helped. Repost with more info if you need more help.
No power when put into drive
if you have somebody push the gas a little while you watch the throttle cables (while in park of course, lol) does it move or seem to have a little slack? does it have any slack at all when not having gas pedal pushed and you push on the cable a little with your finger, no harder than your eye when shut. sorry for the poor example. i am not a hyundai driver so I do not know much at all about them but I do know cars. I can try to help if you will answer.
How to change the battery on a Hyundai Sonata
When you remove the battery to install a new one then you need to enter a radio code to get your radio working again. This is an anti-theft locking system. To avoid reprogramming your car/radio etc. connect another battery with jumper lead to the battery leads on your car to maintain your car's settings when you disconnect the old battery from your car. Install the new battery and connect the car's battery leads to the new battery. now you can remove the jumper leads and the second battery.WHEN YOU CONNECT THE JUMPER LEADS, MAKE SURE YOU CONNECT POSITIVE TO POSITIVE AND NEGATIVE TO NEGATIVE.ON BOTH BATTERIES.
