i have that same problem with my galaxy s5. i thought it was the battery because it gets hot and hangs the phone but even if its connected to the wall charger, the problem is still there. i found out that my lcd is getting bad and it slowly killed my phone. if you have insurance for your phone, you can exchange it for a new one at your service provider. if you dont have one, i guess you can try updating firmware to see if it fixes it. if you're with verizon, i'd back up my phone before updating. verizon tends to screw up ota update and it will corrupt or brick your phone. goodluck

Well the problem here is that you are NOT the Administrator of the account. I know for a FACT that Verizon ,Sprint,Att,TMobile do the same thing. If you are the Administrator of the account you can enable tracking software on ANY PHONE on the account regardless of OS. They can track your movements IN REAL time because of the GPS CHIP built into the new smart phones. You can try and turn your GPS off through the software but it will NOT actually be turned off they can still pin point your location and record anything your say and do on the phone. The only way around this is Getting your OWN account and set your own perimeters as you see fit.

A crack can develop in the circuit board that will cause that. A broken solder joint on the card holder or adjoining components will do it too. Time for a new phone.

Unlock the Bootloader through HTC first they will walk your through it FREE of charge then go to https://forum.xda-developers.com/ For further instruction to ROOT and unlock the Sim card slot

my best thing to try is to take out the battery or try to reset it

Bad battery will cause boot looping.

First try dialing *228 or *22890 to insure you phone is up to date. This will automatically program it. Next turn it off then back on.
