10kw Generac shut down overspeed
Make sure that the throttle linkage is all there and not damaged/misadjusted, then get a manometer and check your inlet gas pressure. Gas pressure should be 8 inches of water column and stay there running or not.

GUARDIAN 40G generator crabks but won't run.
Is on/off switch in "on" position - set choke? fill with gas? Is switch on gas line to carb in "on" position.
If does not start then you either have a spark or fuel delivery issue and you need to trouble shoot the various systems.
Ig as was left in carb last time used, it is possible that the gas jelled and clogged up the carb and now the latter needs cleaning/overhaul.

Charger not charging and motor runs fine
You need to check the rectifier first to make sure it has AC power on the 2 x AC terminals and 13.8V DC on the DC side, if you have AC and no DC replace the rectifier, if you have no AC check the stator windings

Guardian rv generator troubleshooting. The fuse
Not knowing which model youa re talking about it is tough. Obviously NEVER wrap foil around a fuse ! All I can tell by your post is that power is on the fuel pump all the time now, I would say that you have damaged a control board.

I have a guardian quietpact
This is likely a problem with the voltage regulator or the wiring. If this unit has brushes/sliprings for field excitation check the condition of those.

Hello, I installed my 10
I had to find out through a Generac Service Tech that the Idle screw needs to be turned down so it doesnt surge. I found this out after a surge blew $400 worth of electronics out in my home. I have a surge protector now I recommend you do the same. DG
