Hi,

If you are having problems with your gas dryer not heating the most common problem is that the ignitor goes bad. Even though it glows sometimes it is still not working properly.

If you have an electric dryer, you can have many different things that can go wrong causing the dryer not to heat.

with belt off see if motor free spins .the blower wheel should not free spin with the belt on and entire drum will turn with it otherwise you could have a bad motor and a blower wheel

No normally the blower is not driven by a belt, it is a motor with a blower wheel attached on the end of it...if the blower motor is not working then you will have to replace the blower motor

I could be your thermal fuse, that would be the first place to start after checking wiring connectivity, good luck

this can also be caused by the bearing which maybe seizing up

this is an older stack,it could have some vibration sounds coming out of it,was common but you can remove the cover to see what's up with it,there's like a gasket like made out of a thin foam strip that wears and this could make a rattling sound or something could be in the blower wheel,the only way to tell is remove it to see.or are you talking about the back panel?most likely it's vibration,take it apart to see,if it's really rattling stick something in between the back panel and the frame,you can remove the back panel and tape the outer edge of the panel,poke holes through the tape where the screws go and put it back on,that might help

Yes it is . buy new lint filter, you may have to call for repair and cleaning.

It usually is on the door left or right side when it is open. Otherwise, best option is to call G.E. and ask them directly.

I was told by repair man that it is in the circuit board and it woukld have to be replaced. It stopped when I turned it down to Medium. My clothes still get dry!

is there an error code displayed,then check tech spec sheet located inside unit? if no code,try measuring between pins 1 & 2 on plug J-4 if you have 120volts a.c. its the control board,if 0 volts are found then its the door switch
