Dualit kettle on switch wont stay on
Had the same problem with a 3 yr old 1.5l Dualit model JKT43. The problem was that the little grey presence switch in the bottom of the kettle which engages with the pillar on the base had worn. I put 2 layers of electrical insulation tape around the pillar on the base and problem fixed. However, this is not a good permanent solution.

The latching is normally dependent on the element working. If you have a multimeter, test continuity of the elements. replacing them is normally not easy as domestic toaster use crimped wires direct to the elements cassette. I have a brand new one in my garage for a Black and Decker toaster with 18 crimp wire tails.
I used Dualit and Rowlett commercial toasters at my hotel in Cornwall, England, and they were easy to repair, but Domestic toasters are really a non repairable / replacement option. Ask Dualit what they think?

Dualit kettle switch is faulty. How do I get the switch out of the kettle?
you need to take the bottom off the kettkle and then you will be able to get to the back of the switch and see how its attatched and remove fasteners as needed and one end of the wires will need to be taken off. dont throw anything out until you look at the new switch because sometimes you dont get some little attatchment and then u will have the old set-up. hope it goes well. let us know how you do.
My kettle keeps blowing the
If the fuse in the mains plug or MCB at the consumer unit / fuse box keeps tripping then there probably is a fault in the kettle element or switch. If the RCD is tripping (the safety device with the test button on it) then there is an electrical leak either due to a crack in the element or water has got into the wiring, switch or power cord of the kettle.
Allow the kettle to dry out in a warm place for a day. Also check it at another power outlet to eliminate any problem with the outlet you are using.
The timer gets stuck and does'nt move anymore
Timer dials are easy to replace if you can find the part. Start with the manufacturer, but if that doesn't work trying Googling it. Any timer switch that will fit will work. It's just a simple switch.
One nut to hold it to the casing and two wires to connect it. It usually doesn't matter which wire goes where, but note their order when you take out the old one (take a cell phone photo) just to be sure.
