Cuisinart Coffee Makers & Espresso Machines - Page 2 - Recent Questions, Troubleshooting & Support
Have cuisinart ss10 coffee maker I have descaled with 2 gallons of white vinegar and the descale light won’t go out. How do I get it cleaned ?
I recently had the problem of the dreaded "de-scale" message coming up on my coffee maker. After descaling my coffee maker 3 times, the "de-scale" message wouldn't go away. I called the Customer Service number and was told to unplug the coffee maker for an hour and that should re-set the machine. I did that and still the de-scale message remained. Another phone call and another customer service representative and I was told to hold down the Hot Water and Rinse buttons together. I placed a large mug and hit the buttons. There was a good bit of water that came through but IT WORKED! The coffee maker is as clean as can be and working very well. I suggested to the Customer Service Representative that Cuisinart should include this in the instruction and troubleshooting section. But I doubt that will happen. Sad that the web site info is not updated. Wanted to share my experience so it might help others frustrated by this issue.
Ss-700 keeps flashin Not Ready
I had the flashing not ready problem with my SS-700 Cuisinart as well. I pressed and held the rinse and Hot Water buttons at the same time for about 10 seconds while the Not Ready was flashing. After 10 sec or so the display went off completely. I then powered up with the power switch on the side and the coffee maker came and is working fine so far.
My cuisinart EM-200 doesn't seem to be taking in any water. It turns on, goes through the initial cycles. Then beeps and lights flash indicating there is no water in the resevoir. Although ther
Hi.... The problem is the flow sensor under the EM-200. There are three special screws. Inside there is this flow sensor. It´s a Hall effect transitor (w5029) but the problem is the small magnet in the small turbine inside the sensor. Open it, take the small magnet away, make a hole throught it from side to side and then glue the small magnet in the top side, closer to the sensor. It will work again. Brown wire = GND - White wire = 5Vdc - Yellow wire = pulse...After 1 year and 3 months, the problem appeared again. The same flow sensor. The small magnet was completly rusty. I had to change it with a new one. The problem is solved. You can also buy a new flow sensor at Aliexpress. Go there and look for: " Water Flow Sensor 0.3-6L/min Switch Meter Flowmeter Counter Sensor Water Control 1/4" 1.75MPa DIY Kit" Good luck !!
Why doesn't rocker switch work?
I tried contact cleaner but it didn't work. Taking it apart, there is a gap of about 1/16" between the switch itself and the plastic plunger that you see on the outside. It isn't a rocker switch- the actual switch is right in the center. I super-glued a 1/32" spacer and it is now a little more likely to work. But I'm going to order a new switch. [needs to be soldered in place on a printed circuit]

Microswitch for cuisinart supreme grind ccm-16pc
The 3 switches in the grinder look to be off the shelf switches. They are wired in series. An "off" switch is one of these and is wired normally as a closed switch. This is actuated at the off end of the sliding switch. Not sure if you can get these switches out to replace. The smaller black and red wires from the circuit board go to these switches. There is also a fuse on the circuit board. Can run a brief test by shorting between mb1 and mb2 on the triac. Hope this helps someone.

My Cuisinart CCM-16PC suddenly decided
Same thing happened to me about 1 year ago. I took the machine apart and determined the issue to be in the circuit board. I bypassed the board and wired the power cord directly to the motor. The machine began to work and is still operating fine. The only drawback, of course - having bypassed the circuit board and switch, you now are on full manual operation. Plug the power cord into the wall outlet and the motor spins; when you are finished grinding you have to remove the cord from the power source to stop the motor. I am OK with this - beats 35 - 50 dollars for a new grinder. Dave

Dgb-900bc cleaned out completely still doesn't brew
You cleaned the chamber, but does it actually still turn? if the motor is broken of the grinder, it cant give you any coffee. If the unit is still spinning, set the grinding size to maximum. This will most likely let beans pass through easier. If both work, please show a picture of where the beans get caught.
Cuisinart coffee maker will not pump
This can be caused from three different failures; the heating element itself, the bimetal thermal switch that controls the heating element or a thermal fuse that has opened with (or without) reason.
Check the bottom plate on which the pot sits after the machine has been on for several minutes to see if it has heated at all.
If not, then the thermal fuse or the element has failed.
The former part is customarily welded to one end of the heating element and cannot safely be replaced by itself.
The thermal switch that causes the cycling of the element is clamped to the element but also is welded to its connecting points.
The entire assembly generally will need to be replaced.
The exact location of the failure can be found using the most primitive multimeter and a few minutes time.
If you wish to DIY, answer back and I will guide you.

I have a dgb600bc grind
Hi,
When the cycle is finished, the coffeemaker will beep 5 times, indicating that the coffee is ready. The unit will turn off automatically.
The insulated carafe keeps the coffee warm for four hours. The aroma of the coffee is preserved thanks to the hermatic cover. It is not necessary to remove the cover to pour coffee.
Hope this will help you.

Cuisinart grind and brew pot - door holding filter
There is a little cover over a spring. The loops of the spring go inside the screw that holds the cover. The spring ends are against the wall and a small pin connected to the button on the side. Keeps the button locked. Cleaning out dried coffee in the are may help and pam spray may keep it from sticking.
