Difficult to work out how you are using and wiring this? The pump is under the sink but you have 30 feet of wire going outside? My guess is that the filter is causing too much back pressure and cutting it off. Then pressure is vented off through the filter and it starts up again. Are you using this with a pond? The information you supplied purely relates to a certification that water running through the tap is safe for drinking and lead free. Normally, all plumbing fittings work to a standard, they all use the same sizes and threads. For instance, it is is a shower attachment hose or head, they are all the same and are interchangeable. off topic plumbing is not computer repair what does harsh mean to you? got sand in the water? water treatment is a complex topic. does harsh mean the water leaves natural lime depostis all over chrome fixtures. tell what harsh means? the filter cost is mostly for looks, size and how long the filter lasts before the change out. mostly no 2 are the same, maker to maker. why not ask a plumber to cure this unstated problem. harsh means?????

Once you take off the front cover. You will see the impeller. Take of the rear cover and the shaft has a flat spot on it. You can hold it with a open ended wrench and spin off the impeller. It will be tight. There is no need to take it off unless it's broken.

There a little plastic tab on the cartridge that will line up with a notch in the valve body?...allowing it to go all the way in

first check if the pump get power. I presume your pump is 12V DC. If you have a dc tong tester that is one way.Or disconnect the motor and reconnect directly to a battery. Then a more crude way to test is to take one lead off and touch it together again. If your pump is stuck but the motor is still o.k. you will get a reasonable spark. No spark: your motor brushes are worn out or your motor is toast. You have a spark your pump is stuck with debris. Try to run it reverse(reverse the power leads) and or clean it out. You can see the cutter knifes from the intake end and should be able to turn them with a screw driver. New pumps on ebay: I paid $125

Sephie, You have a very common problem. The short answer is you need to replace the Cartridge, which is Moen part # 1225.I have seen that so many times with that particular faucet... I'm not a big fan of Moen in general-- but that aside.... That Faucet is one of their "economy" lines and has a long history of giving trouble. I would suggest to you that the best solution would be to replace the faucet with a nice quality Delta, or equivelant-- Delta style and those that use the same parts such as many Peerless and others ARE VERY SIMPLE TO SERVICE, and the PARTS ARE PRETTY CHEAP AND ALWAYS AVAILABLE at Lowe's or Home Depot. Moen cartridges are expensive and can be hard to find the exact match as there are many models that look almost identical. You can get the part free from Moen, but that takes time and can be a hassel.Hope this helps, Let me know if you have further questions! Good Luck!

Theres not much you can do to repair the stem except replacing the small O-ring up inside. You can call Glacier Bay and ask for a new stem ( the faucet has a limited lifetime warranty. You can also use Delta faucet repair parts in your Glacier Bay kitchen faucet; they come from the same mold. Heres a link to Glacier Bay 2 handle kitchen faucet repair.
