My punching bag is starting to split; can it be repaired?
If your tears are minor tears and you do not
want to shell out lots of money then you could use duct tape to cover them,
however there are inexpensive wraps that you can buy to replace the original, I
saw one from Everlast not long ago.

What is the best way to hang my punching bag up to avoid it falling down?
The best way is to hang it with chains around a
rafter in your ceiling, however you should check first to ensure that the
rafter is big enough to hold the weight. Also avoid hanging from trussed roofs,
as this could be quite dangerous if the roof eventually failed.

What size boxing gloves should I buy?
Depending on what you are
using the gloves for determines what size gloves you should get for example:
a. Sparring: 16oz gloves
b. Training: Bag gloves - 12oz for beginners, increase weight to
increase intensity and endurance
c. Amateur Fights: depends on the rules of the fight - generally 10oz
glove is used and will be either red or blue with a white target area to help
the judges score.
d. Professional Fights: will be decided in the rules of the
professional affiliation the fight is sanctioned by. I believe 8oz gloves are
the norm.
