did this vehicle fail an emission test ??? does this vehicle have a emission trouble code or codes??? you may want to have them read at the local parts store if there is a mil lamp or service engine soon lamp or check engine light. be sure the gas cap is installed correctly because it can cause a code. check the obvious things, levels of fluids conditions of fluids and read the owners manual for any clues. your emission testing station should direct you based on the results of your last test.. the smart money is best spent using the steps they provide. it counts in the vehicles favor toward a waiver if necessary. compared to the area i live you may find the process is similar

Remove the cover of the fuse box. Under that cover you will to know which fuse is meant for which one.

There is no symbol for a lighter (FUSE) that I'm aware of. The symbol for the lighter is usually a cigarette with a couple of wavy lines for smoke. If you pull out your owners manual or go under the dash and pull the fuse cover generally the fuse slot is labeled either LTR or CIG or it is given a number which you have to look up in your owners manual. Try applying white grease to the mechanism when you get it opened.

common issue with later model gm vehicles primarily grand am grand prix and impala cars and chevy trucks and suv's it can be the result of 1 of 3 common issues the 1st and most likely is a broken ecm ground somewhere generally near the rear of the engine some where near the firewall/and back of the motor it should be black or black with white stripe and is fairly small it leads from one of the main harnesses to either the firewall or somewhere on the rear of the engine grounded off gm made them to short and they tend to break off the 2nd likely cause is faulty or worn ignition switch/ in late model gm the ignition has the security chip and sensor built into the ignition and over time your key as well as the sensor and or ignition cylinder ware done some times something as simple as a fresh cut key can fix the issue the 3rd and less likely cause is the body control module which is the brain for all electronics from your headlight,door chime,wiper blades to you entire security system all of these three things i listed are common gm issues certain ma

its probably the window regulator.

Suspension has a leak, air pump malfunction, or a series of other things.If your battery was replaced recently Take the rear panel out of the back, the spare tire, get down to the battery. Right there is the air pump, bolted half over it. Unbolt it and make sure all electrical connections as well as air hoses are connected.I have dealt with these, and if you don't have the proper scan tool with the proper software you will be lost. Head to the shop.

the likely fault is the solenoid valve in the water supply sticking open. It is located in the heater line from the front of the engine to the firewall.

you probably have a faulty wheel sensor, these can be checked to determine which one.

not much you can do with them but try to dye them blue again, once blue gets wite lines in them hard to cover the lines again with blue.might have way better luck turning them to a black color instead.black covers way better and might even work perfect.use hot water with any dye you use for better results and add about a table spoon ovv vinagar to help it along, good luck,Gary

first get scanner and check for any codes.then try to fix one by one.

Why go to the trouble, just replace the part. Not sure if they can be cleaned.

Check your fluid level.

flasher unit is up behind the driver side .Its up and behind the fuse box .you could just tape it up so its quieter or snip the buzzer
