common issue with later model gm vehicles primarily grand am grand prix and impala cars and chevy trucks and suv's it can be the result of 1 of 3 common issues the 1st and most likely is a broken ecm ground somewhere generally near the rear of the engine some where near the firewall/and back of the motor it should be black or black with white stripe and is fairly small it leads from one of the main harnesses to either the firewall or somewhere on the rear of the engine grounded off gm made them to short and they tend to break off the 2nd likely cause is faulty or worn ignition switch/ in late model gm the ignition has the security chip and sensor built into the ignition and over time your key as well as the sensor and or ignition cylinder ware done some times something as simple as a fresh cut key can fix the issue the 3rd and less likely cause is the body control module which is the brain for all electronics from your headlight,door chime,wiper blades to you entire security system all of these three things i listed are common gm issues certain ma

First check for a weak battery. Most likely would be battery or something related to it: connections, damp/water in the trunk etc. However there are various factors as to why a car won't start.

My 2005 Dodge Caravan head lights and dome lights stays on a little longer then the norm. Also the chime indicator that lets you know that you left the lights on or you left the keys in the ignition comes on as soon the door is open.I have had one battery go dead on me . Can't afford to be replacing batteries when they go dead on me! Can you help?

There is a few common faults one is the bonnet / hood sensor, they jam up and the car thinks the hood is open so triggers the alarm. A dealer will charge you about $200 but you can do this yourself with a can of WD-40 most times, and certianly worth a go for that saving.

There are numerous problems with these alarms so it can be difficult for me to say exactly. I would suggest though that you go to this website of BMW owners they ofetn know exactly the fault.
