Can't download and install printer driver HP Deskjet 1220C for window 7

There is no downloadable driver for this printer. You just need to update the Windows 7 list on your computer with the latest update. Here are the instructions from hp:

The drivers for your HP product are already included in the new Windows 7 operating system! You do not need to download drivers to use the product . Simply connect the printer to your computer with a USB cable, and Windows Update automatically installs the driver for your product. Install the Windows 7 in-Operating System (in-OS) print driver When you connect your printer to the computer, Windows 7 detects the hardware and automatically installs the correct driver. It's the one I used to install my HP 1280, which isn't otherwise supported in Windows 7.

if you are unable to download the driver, please look for old drivers and have them remove and then try the installation.
