I have a sony color rear video projection tv, Model# KP-61565
Serial # 9012605. Made Nov. 1998
While watching it, the TV made a pop noise and the sound and picture went out. When trying to turn in back on there is a red blinking light, no picture or sound. It flashes for about 30 seconds.

Oh, yea - another misaligned projection TV. All rear projection TV's seem to eventually get this disease. Fix: perform a "convergence," which will converge all 3 color projectors to the same point. Does the timer/stand-by light blink at all? If so, count how many times it does. It will usually be in intervals. If it isn't blinking, and you have nothing on the screen, you might have a problem with the "G" Board, part # A1316499A.
