Help with Game Mode/Channel Switch Please!

I do not have my remote for this TV, and I'm stuck on the channels thing. I can't go to game mode, and I want to play my ps2. How can I go to game mode without the remote?

Go to Radio Shack and get an universal remote control, i have a Phillips Universal for mine. it has a tv/vcr button that also is an "input" button to switch channels to do this.

How can i put a crown ctt1506lc in game mode without remote?

I could not find an owner's manual online, so you get a generic answer. Look for an "Input" button among the TV's controls. If you don't find one, go to the TV's lowest channel number (in US TV sets, that's Channel 2). Press the Down Channel button once more. That may take you to the external video input, which I assume is what you want for "game mode."

Trying to connect a Sega Genesis. I know it's connected properly to the place where the cable wire goes and then that is connected to the connector. What channel do I go to to play the games?

Hi,

The input from the Sega wont be on any channel number - you need to select the correct input for the Sega using the "INPUT SELECT" button on the Symphonic remote control supplied with the TV. Switch on the TV the Sega, then press this button repeatedly until you can see the picture from the Sega.

- If you are using the sockets on the BACK of the TV, the correct input is "VIDEO 1"
- If you are using the sockets on the FRONT of the TV, the correct input is "VIDEO 2". You can also switch to the "VIDEO 2" input by pressing the "GAME" button on the Symphonic remote - if you still have it.

If you don't have the Symphonic remote, look for a button marked "INPUT" or "SOURCE" if you are using a universal remote.

If you don't have any remote for the TV, you will only be able to use the sockets on the front of the TV. You will then need to switch to "GAME MODE" by using the buttons on the front of the TV:

1. Switch ON the TV and the Sega;
2. Press the MENU button;
3. Press the VOLUME UP button to open the PICTURE MENU;
4. Highlight GAME MODE using the CHANNEL UP/DOWN buttons;
5. Set GAME MODE to "ON" using the VOLUME UP/DOWN buttons;
6. Press MENU again to close the menu

You should now be able to see the picture from the Sega. If not, check you have correctly connected the Sega to the TV. When you have finished using the Sega you will need to use the method above to switch game mode off again.

Hopefully, I've covered every possible angle. If you have a different Symphonic TV model from the one listed above (ST420FF), the method should be similar, but if you have any difficulty, please post back for further assistance.

How to get universal remote to turn the tv to game mode

Hi,

I don't know if this can be done with a universal remote, but if you can let me know which brand and model of universal remote you are using, I will check if it is possible. If your universal remote has an "AV", "SOURCE" or "INPUT" button, try these but make sure the game system is switched on so you are able to see if/when you have changed to the correct mode.

If you don't have the original Symphonic remote, you should be able to switch the TV to game mode using the buttons on the front of the TV as follows:

1. Switch the game system on
2. Press the "MENU" button on the front of the TV
3. Highlight "PICTURE" using the CHANNEL UP/DOWN buttons
4. Press the VOLUME UP button once to enter the PICTURE menu
5. Highlight "GAME MODE" using the CHANNEL UP/DOWN buttons
6. Use the VOLUME UP/DOWN buttons to set "GAME MODE" to "ON"
7. Press "MENU" to exit the menu and play games.

The menu should automatically close anyway if you don't press any buttons for about 15 seconds.

When you have finished playing your game, repeat the above steps to set "GAME MODE" back to "OFF" and return to watching TV.

Hope this helps. Please post back for further assistance if needed.

Regards,
BElectric.

I'm pretty sure that I have the Zentih model ZEN425 universal remote I have successfully programmed it to my tv but I am unsure how to switch the tv to Game mode

Hi

The game channel on your TV is the same as the AV channel (the channel you use to watch movies from your dvd player or home theater systems)

As long as the AV cords of the game is properly connected just switch to AV and you are good to go..

My remote does not have an AV button for my broksonic television. how do i use a video game system?

Does it have a AV input though? If it has an Audio and Video Input then you can switch from TV mode to Video mode through your remote, it is on the lower channel before channel 1

Sylvania TV stuck in Game mode remote no longer works

go up to your TV and go into the menu. Go to the channel selection and run the auto select for channels. This will take some time but the TV will end off the first channel found, the only thing is you cannot get back into video mode without the remote

Video mode

I went to add/delete channels in my menu on my symphonic and it let me scroll through the channels, make sure you have them all set to add (by pushing the volume buttons to make them light blue instead of purple)....after adding all of your channels (or just the one if you use dish) just power the tv off while on a channel and then power back on and you should have tv.

Game Mode

On the TV itself, press the MENU button. When the menu opens, "PICTURE" should be highlighted in pink and the rest of the menu items will be an aqua color. That means you are in the right place....Press the volume "up" button... this will open up the Picture menu items. When the menu opens, start pressing the channel "up" button. You will see (bright, color, etc.) options in this menu. Keep pressing the channel up button until you see "Game Mode"... the options will be ON and OFF. Use the volume "up" and/or "down" buttons to toggle back and forth between ON and OFF... if you want to watch TV, be sure to turn the Game Mode OFF... otherwise the picture will be VERY dark...
