Can i play my ipod nano overseas

With the proper AC adapter for the country or countries you are going to visit while overseas. You need the adapter to recharge the nano when its battery runs out. So, load up your nano with songs, videos and photos, take the USB wall charger, the 30-pin or Lightning USB cable and the AC adapter and enjoy your overseas trip and your nano !

Nc6000 multibay battery does not recharge

Perhaps remove the multi-bay battery, and let main battery charge all the way. Then reattach multi-bay battery, and see if it's recognized.
(Will charge)

That is AC adapter (Charger) removed, then remove multi-bay battery.
Plug AC adapter back into laptop, THEN plug AC adapter into power.

[You do Not want to unplug an AC adapter from a laptop, with the AC adapter plugged into power. Could be a power surge/voltage spike. Unplug AC adapter from power, when plugging into laptop, or unplugging from laptop ]

Main battery charged, unplug power to AC adapter, unplug AC adapter from laptop. Plug multi-bay battery in, then AC adapter.
(Then plug AC adapter into power)

My lenovo G550 appears not to charge when the charger is plugged in despite turning the mains power on and off to see if power is getting though and the blue neon light showing on the mains...

Hi m529,

I see you are having issues with you G550 charging.

You mentioned that the light on the charger is lit up but then it suddenly switches Off, and you also mentioned that the charge still has a light but the power is somewhat low despite of a fully lit up charger Light.

Have you tried draining the power from the system?

  • Remove the battery and the Charger or AC Adapter as well call it from the G550 then press and hold down the power button for 10-15 seconds to drain power from the system motherboard.
  • Once drained connect the AC adapter but do not connect the battery yet, then turn the Laptop ON to see if the system will power ON using the AC adapter/Charger if it powers up then there is no problem with the AC adapter/charger.
  • After testing the AC adapter if it is working power down the Laptop doing a normal shut down.
  • Once shut down or turned Off insert the Battery back in the Laptop then turn the Laptop ON using the battery only without the AC adapter/charger see if the system will turn ON using the Battery only.
  • If the Laptop powers On using the battery alone with out the AC adapter then the battery is most likely working as well on the issue.
  • Now power down the Laptop then connect the AC adapter to the Laptop with the Battery in the Laptop as well then turn the system ON again see if the problem will Occur again having the battery and the AC adapter/charger if the Problem happens with both Battery and AC adapter on the Laptop then the problem is the Motherboard, most probably the motherboard is having issues relaying power from the AC adapter to the battery and may be sent to the Depot for repairs.
I suggest that you call Lenovo for further information about your system, if you still have warranty and is still in the one year period then your system will be covered for any repairs needed - you can call @ 1 877 453 6686 for troubleshooting, you will be asked for a serial number Located underneath the Laptop on a small white sticker that states s/n meaning serial number.

I hope that this Helps.

Have a nice day,

Charging battaries oversea.

The battery chargers that are included with JVC camcorders sold in the U.S. are designed to operate on power from 110 to 240 Volts at 50 or 60 Cycles AC. All that is needed to use the battery charger overseas is a plug adapter to connect into a foreign electrical outlet. These are generally available from a store which carries electrical supplies.

If this is true, then why does the manual for my new PowerShot SD1100 IS say, "Do not connect compact power adapters or battery chargers to devices such as electrical transformers for foreign travel because it may lead to malfunctions, excessive heat generation, fire, electric shock or injury."

Is this just a standard disclaimer in case something weird happens by using a transformer to charge the battery?

Overseas Use

Yes. The power supplies and battery chargers supplied with all Powershot Digital Cameras are designed to work on input voltages from 100-240 volts (50/60 Hz). The only item that you may need is a plug adapter that allows you to plug the U.S. type power supply or battery charger into the foreign type wall outlet. Plug adapters should be easily available at a local electronics store.
