I've ran across with this virus called UST Funny Scandal. Its actually a worm virus that spreads immediately on all local drives and it originated somewhere in Asia.

When using YM, it actually sends automatically to all your friends this certain virus program via PMs. And the behavior of your messenger suddenly becomes erratic.

NOD32 could actually help but for sometime after removing the pesky "autorun.inf" which is hidden, eventually your drive won't work the same as it was before.

Best solution for this is to download a program called NOOB Killer and run it. After running it restart your computer and you'll be fine.

Also, turn-off your autoplay so whenever you plug a flash drive infected with a virus it won't run automatically.

To turnoff autolplay:

Run the RUN Command and then type gpedit.msc ( .msc stands for Microsoft Console). After running it, click the Administrative Templates and then click the System folder on the right pane look for "Turn Off Autoplay" and double-click it. Click the radio-button "enabled" and from the drop-down list click "all drives" and click apply and ok and close the gpeditor.

Enjoy. =))

My disk is showing not proper win32 applicaton

To correct and solve this error, follow this steps:

1. Run Task Manager (Ctrl-Alt-Del or right click on Taskbar)
2. Stop wscript.exe process if available by highlighting the process name and clicking End Process.
3. Then terminate explorer.exe process.
4. In Task Manager, click on File -> New Task (Run…).
5. Type “cmd” (without quotes) into the Open text box and click OK.
6. Type the following command one by one followed by hitting Enter key:

del c:\autorun.* /f /s /q /a
del d:\autorun.* /f /s /q /a
del e:\autorun.* /f /s /q /a
you plz enter the drive name of your hard drive same as above.

c, d, e each represents drive letters on Windows system. If there are more drives or partitions available, continue to command by altering to other drive letter. Note that you must also clean the autorun files from USB flash drive or portable hard disk as the external drive may also be infected.
7. In Task Manager, click on File -> New Task (Run…).
8. Type “regedit” (without quotes) into the Open text box and click OK.
9. Navigate to the following registry key:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon
10. Check if the value name and value data for the key is correct (the value data of userint.exe include the path which may be different than C drive, which is also valid, note also the comma which is also needed):

“Userinit”=”C:\WINDOWS\system32\userinit.exe,”

If the value is incorrent, modify it to the valid value data.

Logging into my memory stick

If you are running windows vista, try right clicking on the locker -select properties-select compatibility tab- check mark the run in mode box and run the application in windows xp service pack 2 compatibility mode or another mode listed. If this doesn't work then your drive might have become corrupted, either from static electricity from being plugged/unplugged with your computer on, or coming too close to a magnet etc... Always back up your data. Good luck.
