4 times red light blinking indicates problem with exhaust fan that is not running and tv shuts down instantly due to protection mode activation.
Please check exhaust fan and make sure its connector is plugged in and fan runs freely.

Pop sound was broken lamp in tv, replace lamp to solve tv issue.
Please recheck model number as KDF-50EA10 seems invalid/ incorrect model number and nearest match is KDF-E50A10
If model number is KDF-E50A10 then required lamp part number is as follows...

TV will show Lamp Light warning if lamp got broken or dead.
Symptoms of TV shows lamp is weak and will be replaced. Weak lamp consume more current than allowed ratings and causing activation of protection circuit that shuts off TV and TV turns on again itself, that is why no blinking red light.

There is about 2 or 3 things Lamp, Lamp Fan if Fan stops runinng then TV will shut off to protect Lamp and the Ballast Board is what turns Lamp on.Go to this website online Encompass Parts type in your Model number which is KDF60XS955 They list everything you need Service manual you can download for FREE These are the part number for (Lamp- A-1085-447-A) & (Ballast Board 1-468-875-11) Call them at 1-800-638-3328

TV needs new lamp as symptom shows existing lamp is weak and causing repeatedly on-off
Please replace lamp in TV, replacement procedure is written in user manual and it is not difficult.

3 flashes indicates that the lamp is not seated properly or that the lamp door is not closed properly. Try removing and plugging tne lamp back in, tightening down the holding screws and reclosing and tightening the lamp cover.
