I saw the problem was fixed by a broken wire, Where can the wire be found? Is there a test procedure for this error? I have a LE error. The machine takes on water, and will pump water out, but error appears and no wash takes place. Any help?? Thanks
The broken wire would be where the wires pass from the bottom of the door into the dishwasher body. A more likely cause may be a motor problem. A number of main motors have had problems with the magnets coming loose or breaking up, resulting in the LE code. You can remove the phillips head screws around the sump cover to gain assess to the impeller, which is attached to the end of the motor shaft. (via a LEFT HAND THREAD screw.) Turn the impeller by hand and listed for noise. Shaft should turn freely, smoothly, and quietly. If it does not, remove the impeller and the cutter bar, remove dishwasher from cabinet, lay it on it's side, and remove four phillips mounting screws from motor and wiring. There is a two year warranty on all parts.

Hi Jilu, The link below is a list of error codes for your washing machine..... CHEERS..
LG Washing Machine Error Code = LE
LG Washer Error = Drive Motor Locked Error
CHECK / REPAIR / FIX = Check the wire harness connections on the motor and the hall sensor (tachometer). Repair any wiring issues. If the wiring connections check good then check for damaged motor components. Replace if needed. If motor is good the replace the hall sensor.
Possible Cause For Error Occurrence: Wiring connection is OK? The Impeller of Washing Pump is locked. The rotor of Washing Motor is locked. The Blade is locked.
Remedy: Check the wiring connection. Replace the cause of restriction. Replace the Washing Motor. Replace the PCB.
take the front door panel off and check and see if your wires are melted into this black spray on insulation. If they are you need to free them from this mess and check for any broken wires. Make sure your plug is unplugged if you need to fix the wires, cut them and splice them back together. Then insert the bundle into a cut bicycle tube and secure it together. Put the door back on and check it to see if the LE code comes up again. Then call LG and let them know what you found. They act like this is something new and it is not. They need to come up with a better solution. The only true fix is to get rid of the LG and buy a better model.
I just had my LG dishwasher fixed. I told the repair man that LE light was comming on. Even over the phone the repairman said its probably broken wires on the door. Me being in construction for years looked around the door for wires. Anyway the repairman took off 6 screws around the door, took the cover off. You will see about 50 wires taped together. He pulled them aside and visually checked them one by one. Sure enough two were broken in two. He twisted them together put tape and he was gone. $87.50 Still Working!
When you repair the wires, be sure to wrap the wire harness is plastic like the type you would find in Safeway produce section. This will keep the wire harness from getting melted on to the black insulation and creating this problem again.
LE error code means that there is a problem with the motor. One thing to check is to remove the front door panel and check the wiring harness to see if there are any broken wires. If there is, repair the wire connections and see if the dishwasher returns to normal. If not, then the motor assembly will need to be replaced.
Yes this certainly is a sticking point, the inside of the panel is coated with black insulation, when it heats up the wires stick in it and eventually the wires break. The fix is as stated, splice the broken wires together, as well take some of the white insulation and put it in between the wires and the liner.
The errors that can arise from the sticky wires are numerous, LE, IE, etc. EI though is more than likely a siphoning problem. If your unit is noisey during operation, open the door, what is the water level? It should be at the second rim. If not, that is your first clue that the unit is siphoning. Make sure you have your loop in the drain hose.
