First off, make sure the management IP is indeed 192.168.2.1
to do that start > run > cmd > type "ipconfig" and press enter, the Default Gateway's IP address is the router's IP address.
second step, ping it. you should get a replay back
lastly, if you still cannot open the management page, the issue is probably with your browser, one common reason is a configured proxy server on the browser, remove it.
for Internet Explorer: Tools > Internet options > "connections" tab > press "LAN Settings" > uncheck all three checkboxes there.

I Hope this helps

Where is the WEP/WPA code on a Netgear router

The WEP / WPA security information can be obtained by accessing your Netgear router setup page. You'll need the router's IP address to access the setup page. From your computer, go to Start > Run > type "cmd" (w/o the quotes), hit Enter > DOS black screen appears, type "ipconfig" (w/o the quotes), hit Enter. Take note of the Default Gateway IP address - that is your router's IP address.
Pull up a browser and enter the IP address in the address bar, hit Enter. You will then be asked for your router's Username and Password, enter the required information. If you don't know the info, please contact your router manufacturer for assistance. Once you're in the router setup page, go to the wireless security settings to check the WEP or WPA code.
Should you still need further assistance on this matter, please contact your router manufacturer.
I hope this helps.

I cant get the UI of the router, router don't provide any IP to my pc

Ist, is a new out of the box router? Next, if so are you trying to connect wireless or through Ethernet? If new, connect with the Ethernet cable and open command prompt. (Start/programs/accessories/commandprompt) When page opens(will be black screen), just start typing, no spaces, ipconfig and hit enter. This will give you your default gateway and your IP Address. Write Default gateway down,Ie, 10.0.0.1, type exit into command prompt and press inter. Page will close. Next open your browser and type in the ip address to see if you can hit the router and access it. Hope this gets you what you needed.

Configuration page doesn't load

1. can you ping the router? go star>run>cmd and type ping 192.168.0.50
if the ping times out or says it's unreachable, check your network connections (cables are fully seated and there leds are blinking properly)
2. try to type 192.168.0.50 on the address bar and hit enter, did you change the ip address on the router before?? if you did and can't remember what ip address you gave to it you may need to reset your router.
3. try the same ip address in another browser (IE, chrome, firefox), Make sure your browser has Java, JavaScript, or ActiveX enabled. If you are using Internet Explorer, click Refresh to be sure the Java applet is loaded.
4. are you using the right the correct user name and password? enter 'admin' (lower case) and hit enter or the password you may have configured, if you can't remember what that was reset your router.

you router's manual can be downloaded from here

good luck

Can't connect to to http address

Try plugging your computer directly into the range extender first, with an ethernet cable. Then check your computer for an IP. To do this follow these steps:

XP: click start> then run> type "cmd" and hit enter.
type "ipconfig" and hit enter, it should show you a default gateway address, that is the number you should type in your browser (IE: internet explorer)

Vista: click start> then in the start search type "cmd" and hit enter.
Type "ipconfig" and hit enter, it should show you a default gateway address, that is the number you should type in your browser (IE: internet explorer)
