The date changes around midnight and you can usually advance the date by going past midnight until the date changes and then turning the watch backward to a time shortly before midnight and then winding it forward again.

How far back you need to go you will have to find by experiment but it should not be very far.

How to advance date 4 or 5 days on a Timex T40021

This watch should have a "quick set" date function that lets you advance the dates by turning the setting crown. To get the watch in this mode, pull the set stem out half-way. At that point, turning the setting crown will advance the date on the watch without turning the hands. One some watches, finding the right position for the set stem can be a bit tricky--either it's not out far enough or it's out just a bit too far and the time hands turn. You may have to try pulling the stem in and out a few times to get it just right.

A word of advice: watches are generally designed to advance the date, not to turn it back. It's suggested that if you need turn the date back, you actually advance the date wheel up to 30 days to get to the date you want. Some watches do permit you to turn dates backwards, but I prefer not to risk the chance of hanging up the little springs and mechanism that are designed to advance the date indicator.

One final note: I have serviced several Timex mid-size (ladies or kids size) Expedition watches that lack a quick-set date. Many Timex watches in that size do have a quickset date like I've just described to you, so I have no idea whether these watches happen to have a cheaper movement or if they have some internal damage (it's been the same model each time). At any rate, for those watches, I have had to use the incredibly slow and painful process of advancing the time 24 hours to advance the date. With those watches, if the date is too far advanced by a day or two, it may be easier to stop the watch for 24-48 hours until the date is correct, rather than spend a huge amount of time spinning the crown to advance the time. Hopefully, your watch will have the more sophisticated movement, though.

HOW TO SET DAY / DATE ON AN ANALOG (STEM) WATCH

mcdevito75 here, Over Forty (40) years ago, watch manufactures added, to some of their ANALOG (wind up) and almost all of their DIGITAL (button display) watches the FEATURE of the, MONTH or DAY of the WEEK and the DATE, not only was the time of day available but also the DATE which you no longer had to go searching for, it was readily available on your wrist. The PROBLEM came with SETTING the CORRECT MONTH or DAY of the week and the DATE as some MONTHS HAD 31 DAYS rather than 30 DAYS, this meant you had to CYCLE your watch at least 62 times to get to the CORRECT DATE and mant times, when you finally did reach the CORRECT DATE, the day of the week was off, meaning more CYCLES thru the 24 hours.-------- HERE is the EASY way to SET the MONTH or DAY / DATE on your QUARTZ / MECHANICAL (STEM) watch without haveing to go thru the 24 hour cycle so many, many times. Not only is this, WEAR on your fingers, you can also damage your watch with some many cycles of the 24 hours to SET the correct MONTH or DAY / DATE. ------ HERE ARE THE BASICS,---------- Your ANALOG or STEM watch either QUARTZ or MECHANICAL should have a TWO (2) position STEM we are only familiar with the ONE (1) position we use to set the TIME, there should be TWO (2) positions to the STEM. First pull out the STEM to adjust the MONTH or DAY depending on your watches display, if your watch DISPLAYs the DAY of the week, set the DAY to one (1) DAY before the DAY you want, don"t worry about the DATE (number) yet. Once you have the MONTH or DAY set, push the STEM back into the watch, NOW with a finger nail just under the STEM (usually from the back of the stem as there is more room) gently lift the STEM to it"s first position, It may take some practice so be patient, once the STEM is in it"s first position you should be able to turn the STEM to adjust the DATE (number), if so Adust the DATE (number) to ONE (1) DATE before the DATE you want, This way your watch will be adjusted to change the DAY / DATE at the correct time. Once you have the DATE (number) adjusted to ONE (1) DATE before the DATE you want, push the STEM back into the watch, NOW pull the STEM out to adjust the time, go thru the 24 hour cycle to adjust to the correct DAY DATE (number) and time of day.------------ Your QUARTZ or MECHANICAL (stem) watch is now adjusted to the correct DAY / DATE and will change at the correct hour which is generally 12--1 AM.

How to set pokemon c wrist watch?

Hold down the two right buttons. A screen will eventually appear showing the watch's current time with the hour number flashing. Use the top right button to scroll through the numbers, and push the bottom right button to set the number. After you set the time, then the date screen will show with the watch's current date, with the month number flashing. Same buttons do the same thing here.

Watch has correct day and date only 1/2 each day

The watch thinks at Noon it is really midnite, so you must scroll 12 hours ahead to repair this. There are usually 2 "clicks" on the stem of the watch when you pull it out, 1 will set time, 1 will set the day/date, be careful to pay close attention to which is happening when you pull out the stem, and setting should go well after that.
