Our Franke Flair is well cared for! Has been cleaned and descaled regularly. Today the machine won't move past PLEASE WAIT. I can 't hear it warming up either.

I have tried what you suggested but still no go. Have now spoken to an engineer and they say there isn't a element there is a thermo block and that is probably what needs replacing.

the original solution did put us on the right track so we didn't waste time calling out an engineer to identify the problem. We are having an engineer to replace the thermo block

Remove the water tank out. Then turn off the machine. Then turn on the machine. It will give message, water tank out or no water tank.Insert water tank then see.If it go further "please wait". But if its still not going beyond please wait, then its internal fault. The temperature thermostat is stopped working or its not heating inside. So the unit is just displaying please wait. The thermostat and heating element has to be checked and replaced.------------ This will help.Thanks.Helpmech.

Very correct, the thermo blocks. The thermo-blocks works as a heating object, but it functions thermally.this stops the unit to go beyond " please wait" message. For that unit has to be disassembled and then the thermo blocks can be replaced. After connecting thermo block its voltage has to be checked.Getting it replaced is advisable.-------------
    Thanks.Helpmech

No milk and steam dispensing from Franke Flair coffee machine

I am a Franke technician. After and possibly during the descale, because probably you haven'nt done it in a long time, steam was able to escape through the fittings as the limescale damaged the silicone rings beforehand. The steam damaged the klixxons or the thermoblock itself. You will need one of us unfortunately....

When trying to switch on our Franke Flair coffee machine it does not seem to start (ie make the right noises) but then sticks on PLEASE WAIT

looks like your machine is not heating up one of the boilers.
on every boiler you have 2 thermic fuses and probably one of those is broken.

Why won't my Franke flair machine won't run only says please wait.is there a reset switch ?

there is no reset switch, please wait on the display indicates the machine is heating . but the sensors are not registering the temp. this means either the thermoblock/s have failed (unlikely) there are upto 4 thermal fuses mounted on the thermoblocks . this is more likely the problem. any more info required please et me know

Franke flair steam wand blocked

In my experience of that particular machine it is incorrect cleaning. You must use an enzyme solution to clean all the tubes and pipes to dissolve the heated and baked milk.

They also need regular servicing and are not without issues.

I had one in an airport lounge for 5 years.
