Sub-Zero 632 Ice Maker Leaking into Ice Bucket

I found the ice appeared to be melting in the ice bucket. However, I emptied it and re-inserted it and realized there was a 'frozen' puddle right at the back edge of the bucket (looking from the door). I can't tell if the water is getting there when the ice is made, because there is a constant/intermentent drip or when the ice tray fills.

I just know water is getting in there and freezing. Thought someone here might have an idea. I have heard the water seals (or is it valves) can stick and be a problem. Maybe it's staying open too long and overflowing from the ice tray into the ice bucket when it is filling the tray? I'll run over and look if I hear it filling...

Thanks,

jk

Just to clarify, I did not meant there is a constant drip, I meant I'm not sure if that's one of the reasons for the 'puddle'.

Ice Maker is overflowing and leaking into the ice bucket: There are several things to check for.
Go for the easy stuff first, make sure the icemaker is level, some of the plastic liner fridge's will move and allow the icemaker to tilt over and leak. Other troublemakers..... the fill valve
staying on and over filling the icemaker..... the finish sometimes comes off the icemaker body and all the ice cubes don't come out. This will allow the new water to fill on top of an icemaker
that still has a ice cube or two left inside the body, if you have had trouble with black specs in your ice cubes, this may have been the beginning of your finish problem on the icemaker body.
On the module style ice makers (Whirlpool, Maytag Family, Sub Zero) the printed circuit in the
module head often wears and the contacts become too long and allow the icemaker to over fill = new ice maker or new module head.

Older style icemakers: This gear is bad for breaking and the icemaker quits turning to eject the ice.
You can remove the front cover to see the gear.
This is a common parts breakdown of the older style icemakers

Water fill volume: The water fill adjustment screw will change the fill volumes by changing the fill time.
One half to one full turn usually ( approx ) is equal to 20cc ( 0.68oz ) to 40 cc.
The correct fill is usually 130 to 150 cc ( 4.5 to 5.0 oz ).
When a water valve is replaced the fill volumes must be re-checked!

RFG297AARS ICE MAKER SOUNDS AS IF A BALL IS DROPPED AND AT FIRST A LARGE DROP AND GETS SOFTER AND THEN STOPS. IT DOES IT EVERY NOW AND THEN BUT IS GETTING LOUDER. ICE BOX WORKS FINE TO LOUD.

My ice maker does the same thing when ice bucket get empty. The new Ice is dropping on the bottom of Ice bucket, as it fills up the sound goes away. Found a manual but one suggestion from it is turn the freezer temperature down a little more. What empties my ice bucket is it has a lever over ice and when the bucket fills up it will push the lever up and shut ice maker off. On mine I have to pull the lever back down to start the Ice maker. For some reason your ice maker is letting the ice bucket empty before making new ice.

Frigidaire Model GLHS68EGSB2, ice maker will only dispense crush ice even if you press the ice cube dispenser

You need to take out the ice bucket, empty it, let the bucket sit in the sink for a few hours. Ice builds up in the crushing blades and jams them, let all the ice melt out of it and it will be fine

EC 24

It is absolutely the ice bucket. Just a different name. If you are may be getting teh error then there may be ice build up causing an obstruction on th full sensor or the bucket tracks. Make sure the area is clear of obstruction and unplug the unit for ten minutes. If everything is clear the error code should go away. Make sure you leave it unplugged for ten minutes, if you plug it in sooner you could damage the compressor.

Please give a good rating, it is very important to me. Thank you, feel free to re-contact

Sub Zero 632 leaking water

Had the same problem on the same model (632). Turned out to be a plugged drain tube on the condensate collection trough located on back wall of the refrigerator. Simply pull out the crisper drawer (the drawer below the lowest shelf) and you'll bee the trough. The drip tube can easily be plugged by a vegetable leak or grape, etc which had fallen into this trough. Hope its as simple for you as for us.

On our Amana Side by Side, there is water dripping from the ice-maker bucket. The cubes were melting. It does not appear that anything else below is melting. I emptied the bucket and lifted the arm to stop...

I don't have this particular model, but had a similar problem. Check the flap to the ice chute. If it's not sealing properly it would allow warm air into the freezer and melt the ice.

I had to call for service.

Ice maker drawer for sub-zero 632

Look at both those tracks on each side. its likely one or both are cracked or broken. Each one has 2 screws holding it in. To put the metal hange back in the tracks, you must get new tracks (if broken/cracked) then hold the2 tracks onto the bucket carriage...then stick thewhole thing in as an assembly, hen put the 4 screws back in. there are 2 more small screws way in the back (one on each side), but they do not have to be removed, only there to guide the racks in properly. these tracks are only about 7 bucks apeice, and shouldn't take long to chamge. Good Luck!

Icemaker issue: cubes melting at the bottom causing water leak out the front

J, sounds like your dispensor flapper is not closing properly and you are drawing warm air up into the ice bucket. This model had an issue where the flapper pin holder was part of the housing and would break off. They have a kit now that fixes that problem. The only other thing it could be would be low freezer temps or it's staying in defrost too long. With out being there, I would start with the dispensor flapper. Check it out and post back.. Catriver.
