Do you mean the Lowrance Elite-7 HDI? Most Lowrance manuals are available here: http://www.lowrance.com/en-US/Support/Documents/ . Click on the Elite series and then scroll down the list in the Select Product window. Then look at the lower right side of the page. The Operation manual and installation guide are both available. The direct link to the operation manual is currently http://www.lowrance.com/Root/Lowrance-Documents/US/ELITE-7_HDI_OM_EN_988-10423-001_w.pdf .

Could be one of two things: either the BIOS has lost the settings for the hard drive, which is uncommon unless the PC is more than 5 years old or been electrically shocked, or the hard drive is going bad. hard drives usually only last about 3-5 years on average. Western Digital even less.

Mine has an "auto dry" button. It says underneath, "Press & hold 3 seconds..." to unlock control. I did it, it worked.
