How long do I bake frozen lemon mergeran pie

Hello, James -

You have not stated if the frozen lemon meringue pie is one you or someone else made and froze, or if it is a commercially made frozen pie.

If it is a commercially made lemon meringue pie, it probably just needs thawing before serving. Instructions will be printed on the box.

If the pie is homemade and frozen, it was probably baked before freezing, so all it may need is some thawing.

I need to know how much fat is considered acceptable in a homemade meat pie. the pastry had 20.617 grams of fat in each pie.

This is one of those questions which could be answered sarcastically - how much do you want?

The answer is basically, use lean meat, with a small amount of fat, as fat is vital for flavour, As for the pastry, a good guide is the fat should weigh about 25% of the flour weight e.g. 1lb flour, 4 ozs fat. If you ensure the pastry is as thin as required to ensure it holds the contents in place during and after baking, you have your answer. Nobody likes thick pastry, but neither do they want the meat falling out as they bite into the pie. Good baking!.

Do you refrigerate a pie made with a sour cream topping

I've made a lot of apple pies and normal ones can be left out. Never made one with sourcream.

How do I bake a frozen fruit pie that has thawed

Preheat your oven to 25 degrees lower than the package says. Then take a long strip of foil and cover just the edges of the pie( like a halo). The thawed edges will bake so much faster than the rest of the pie. Then bake it as usual. Just check it every 20 minutes or so. Everyone's oven is different.

What is chicken pot pie?

A chicken pot pie is a savory pie made with chicken that has a flaky crust on the top and bottom. Because this crust is not as strong as other kinds of crusts, the pie is usally baked inside a pan.
