Hi, Your computer is most like have IP address permanently asign. To change the setting for windows 7, click start, click control panel, click network & internet, click network sharing, click connection, click lower left hand property, click Internet protocol version 4 (TCP?IPv4), click property and click obtain and IP address automatically. Your Router will asign IP address. Windows XP, Click start, click connect to, click to show all connection, right click to the wireless connection adapter, click the property and click the down arrow click to TCP/IP, click the property and change it to obtain IP address automatically. That should work for you. Get back to us if this information help you solve you solve the problem. Good day now.
Router's default IP is usually written on its case, check user manual as well.
If you did not change anything in your network settings in your pc/laptop you should have dhcp turn on so press CTRL+SHIFT+ESC and task manager window should appear. Then File->Run.. and type 'cmd' and press ENTER. Black "dos" window should appear. Then type 'ipconfig /all' and press ENTER again and among lots of data you see you should find IP of your gateway.
Do not type the IP address and subnet mask, just click on obtaib the IP address automatically and obtain the DNS automatically. Because if you encode the IP and subnet mask, there would be conflict and let the internet explorer configure it automatically.

192.168.1.1 if you cant open it then reset router by pressing with toothpick the tiny button for 5 seconds while its on power. if i was helpful please vote ..
When you reset the AP, how long did you press the reset button? To reset the AP to factory defaults, the reset button should be pressed and held for at least 15 seconds. Also, once reset, the AP should have the following settings:
1 ) Check if IP address is the correct address of your Gateway. Check if you can ping. Be sure you have your Java enabled Some router requires a specific Browser (IE6 or IE7) and cannot respond to different browser. Be sure to remove any Java protection from your Browser. Check with user manual if IP address requires also a specific port number ( 8080 or other). Be sure to Connect Router using Lan cable 2) Change your PC IP setting to same subnet as your router Control Panel / Network settings / properties of TCP/IP define an IP address and a subnet mask compatible with Router as gateway. 3) If you are not sure of Router IP address use reset button on router back to factory default; use this to configure router.
If the SSID changed to the default then you know that the router reset to the default settings and you should set your computer to automatically get its IP address via DHCP. I always set up my routers through a Wired connection first, just to setup the router and then go with the wireless. The default for the router should be 192.168.0.1 and subnet 255.255.255.0 . If the computer is set with a static IP address, change it to obtain an IP address automatically or the network card will not bother even looking for an address.
You need to be connected using wired Ethernet (PC's LAN card to Router's Ethernet Port (at the back)). This is the preferable INITIAL way to configure the router before going wireless. Also it would be to your advantage to initially set your PC (that will be used for configuring the router) to "Specify an IP address" (static settings) and not "Obtain an IP address automatically."
For a PC connected via UTP networking cable attached to a Belkin F5D6130 AP, the networking settings could be: IP Address 192.168.2.2 Subnet Mask 255.255.255.0 Default Gateway 19*2.168.2.1 DNS Server 192.168.2.1 Reboot
