Hi, my Hotpoint BCI45 won't finish its program.
The other day it stopped during a cycle. I removed all the dishes and cleaned all the filters. Turned it on again and the water drained.
I then ran a programme with no dishes to clean the washer. Half way through it seemed to stall! I switched it off and on, it beeped a lot and still nothing. Now when I press the power button on the door no program light lights up.
Any suggestions?
Thanks

1. No power to the dishwasherMake sure there's power getting to the dishwasher. Check for a tripped circuit breaker or a blown fuse. Check the wall socket for power. Sometimes the power cord disconnects at the dishwasher (inside the junction box, behind the bottom kick panel), if this is the case, the wiring must be repaired or replaced.

2. Door switch
Replace if defective.

3. Timer
Replace if defective (note: uncommon problem).

4. Selector switch
Replace if defective (note: uncommon problem).

Power on but mechine not start

If you are able to select the program but start button is not responding, then the door latch switch is not detecting closure of the dishwasher. Need to check this out.

No error message, topped up rinse aid, turned off power at wall for 45 minutes, unable to press program buttons - it's like they are stuck - which would be unusual as it worked perfectly a few days...

Hi.

Turn off power again tripping circuit breaker or disconnecting the power cord. While power is off clean the drain well and remove any water present inside the tub using a sponge. Check also the door lock.

Connect power back and try starting a cycle.

If still no luck, let me know the appliance model number. In that case the dishwasher is probably faulty. A defective door switch or faulty control module may result in appliance not responding to commands.

Regards.

Will a canon printer i560 take PGI-220 , CLI-221 ink replacements. I purchased this at Costco. On the side of the box there are a number of numbers, one of them is MP560. Will this work?? Thanks ...

Hi Wayne. The i560 and MP560 are different beasts.
According the Canon, the i560 takes 1x BCI-3eBK, 1x BCI-6M, 1x BCI-6C & 1x BCI-6Y, and the MP560 takes 1x PGI-520BK, 1x CLI521BK, 1x CLI-521M, 1x CLI-521C & 1x CLI-521Y
Although the BCI-3eBK and the PGI-520BK look similar, they are in fact different.
Also the 3 colour carts look the same but are again different, the BCI carts all have microchips in them and the optical sensor in the bottom is also slightly different.
Searching the Canon supplies section, I cannot find either PGI-220 or CLI-221.

I have a canon bjc 3000 printer and cannot print...it is flashing 4 orange lights followed by a solid green light...please help

Four orange flashes means the cartridge is out of ink. The ink cartridge itself is the BC-33, and it contains four ink tanks, BCI-3B, BCI-3C, BCI-3M, and BCI-3Y. If the printer had been working properly up until this point, check each of the ink tanks (they unlatch and come out of the cartridge) and replace just the empty one(s). If all the tanks have ink in them, it indicates the cartridge itself is bad, and you will have to replace the entire cartridge.

Hotpoint BCI 450 error message not in the manual

I had this on my machine. This indicate the drain pump is broken. Probably due to a leak from the heating element pipe joint above it. You can easily replace the drain pump yourself. Costs around £30. I got mine from Curry's partmaster in the UK.

Indesit dishwasher DI 450 wont work

I had this problem and you have probably resolved it by now but I thought i would respond so that anyone else searching would get some help!!!

If program 2 and 4 are flashing it means that the filter is clogged and needs to be cleaned. Switch the dishwasher off - take out the filter and clean it and ensure all debris removed from in the filter housing. Pop it back in and switch back on and now the machine should work.

Mine is now running good as new!!

We have a kenwood kdw12st3a dishwasher - ever since we have had it, it has been nothing but trouble. It constantly flashes e4 so we have tipped it and drained the water out of the bottom (as advised) and...

To clear the fault you need to remove the two baskets from the dishwasher.

Slide it out from under the worktop and lean it forward to about 45 degrees.

If it is already full of water, turn on the power whilst pushing the programme button, this sets up a pump out program

Canon Smart base MPC 400 Printer

This printer needs these cartridges: -

1. (BCI-3eB) Black Ink Cartridge,
2. (BCI-3eC) Cyan Ink Cartridge
3. (BCI-3eM) Magenta Ink Cartridge
4. (BCI-3eY) Yellow Ink Cartridge

I think you need to clean your cartridge connectors with alchohol and retry.
