You can look at youtube.com and see various sergers being threaded, also Brother at www.brother-usa.com, and www.singerco.com is quite helpful for threading a serger. All sergers pretty much thread the same way, remember always thread the 2nd from the right first. You can download your manual for free at the Brother site and enlarge the diagrams. Just take your time, it took me almost an hour to finally get it , now I can thread any machine without any problems. At first, I was very intimidated, but you will get it, really.

I need a manual for a brother 920D serger

Manuals Lib has the manual for the 910/920/920D/934/934D sergers here: https://www.manualslib.com/manual/1118071/Brother-910.html .

I hope this helps.

I took the needles out of my 934D Brother Serger and I can't get them back in!

First, relax!!!

Here's the manual that shows how to install the needles. Be sure you are using the correct needles for your machine and then verify that the "flat" part of the needle top is facing the correct direction. Check that the needles set screws have been screwed out enough so the needles will fit in the holes. Slide the needles as far up as possible. Then, while holding the needle up, screw the needles screws back in.

Why does the upper looper thread keep busting?

Quite possibly the machine is not threaded correctly, the tension setting for that looper is too tight (could be the upper looper tension disk is stuck or dirty causing the thread to hang), or the thread is looped around something like the thread tree.

Replace the needles. Remove all the thread and re-thread from the beginning. Be sure to RAISE the presser foot before threading. Make sure to thread the threads in the correct order.

Can serger for about 3 inches on my brother 1354d serger and then thread breaks

Serger thread breaks
1. Is the serger threaded correctly?
2. Is the needles inserted correctly?
3. Is one of the needles bent or damaged?
4. Is the tension adjusted too tightly?
5. Is the tension adjusted to accommodate thickness of thread being used?
6. Are you using inferior quality thread?
7. Is the thread feeding of the cone/spool freely?
8. Is the needle size correct for the type of fabric being used?
9. Are the needles being used the correct one for the serger?

Moved and can't find my manual I need to get a copy of the threading pattern I have a 934 server

I found a copy of the manual for the Brother 934 at this site:
ftp://ftp.brother.ca/MANUELS%20_%20MANUALS/English/SEWING_MACHINE/934d-UG.pdf
If this isn't the right one, there are manuals for other models at the Brother's website (but I didn't see a 934 there):

Hope this helps
