Hi!
Usually what you'll find is that the fan will turn on and off as the computer heats up and cools down. The fact that it turns on and off every few seconds could imply that either: a) Your computer heats up and cools down very often (not likely) b) Something is causing your computer to not sense the correct heat c) There is something impeding your fan from working properly (most likely).
I would recommend using an air duster to blow all of the dust out of the fan area and see if that improves anything.
Additionally, you can download free software which will monitor your CPU temperature, and that should let you know if you're within a reasonable range (Google for specific numbers).
Good luck! -SJ

Laptops and desktops all the same need to have cleaning maintenance every 1 to 2 years since their components will be accumulating dust with the pass of the time. Your laptop fan will keep turning on and off because of the constant heat of the CPU since the fan have accumulated dust it will not work as expected having to be force to work with more load to keep your CPU cooler, that fan doesn't stop completely it only lows the rpm (revolutions per minute) but since it can't keep it for much time then is when you hear the excessive noise of the fan working.

open your laptop or have some with knowledge to do it for you to have the fan cleanup, that will extend the Laptops life.

My polo 1.5 TDI was making blower noise for few seconds after engine is turned off. I started my car after few days and moved only few feet then turned off engine. Should I go to service station ?

If you are talking about 1.4 TDI model year 2014+ Then the blower u hear is tha cooling fan that keeps running for some seconds after shut engine off due to the fact the DPF ( exhaust filter ) has gone into regeneration to burn all trash and due to high temperatures generated by the engine's rich fuel mixture the fan has to work for a while !!

Why the 30 amp fuse under hood for heater fan keeps blowing

If it blows immediately after turning the fan on, there must be a short. If it takes a few seconds, the motor could need to be oiled, unrestricted (if something is stopping the squirrel-cage from turning), or possibly replaced. Don't go with a larger fuse; you'll burn up the wiring.

Why does my climate fan come on intermittently on its own and cant be turned off.

That is the way is was designed to operate. Now if it never turns off after a few minutes, then that is a source for alarm. Lots of newer cars are like this.

Air fan turns on for few sec. then off

Good Afternoon Jonathan, thanks for your post!
From the information you have provided the fan on your Frigidaire air conditioner turns off after a few seconds of being on. This could be an issue with your fan motor or control panel. I would suggest performing a reset on your air conditioner. You can do that by unplugging the power cord and pressing the rest button. You should then hear a click and press the test button then plug the air conditioner back in. If that does not correct your issue you may need to have a technician out to your home to perform a proper diagnosis and repair. I hope this information is helpful to you. -Matt

Active vent keeps opening and closing though fan is off.

When the unit begins the never ending opening and closing cycle, turn the vent fan on for a few seconds and then turn the fan off. This seems to stop the active vent from opening and closing. If this is GE quality, this is the last thing that I am going to purchase. GE refrigerators are garbage and now I am having problems with a new microwave oven.
