I am getting nothing out of my tv. The green on lights comes on after that there is nothing but a black screen

Can I buy the tv for parts off you?

The tv has a high voltage problem, the Emerson sets were well noted for horizontal output transistor issues, this will need a tv technician to resolve the situation.

I can help you with your issue ,
Your Mittsubishi has a system the will cause the green light to blink for 70 seconds when first plugged in, if the green light never stops blinking it is either a power supply issue or a stuck keyboard button.
So do the test and reset it to see if the light stops blinking or not.

Tv has power supply board inside defective. This board needs replaced.

my tv been in my storage for about two years i pull it out pluged it in and only the green light on the button comes on you can hear it make a noise like the screen is about to come on but nothing.then the green light shuts off. please if anyone know what the problem is please e mail me.

After the system boots up, hold your finger down on the metal spot where you normally turn it on. it'll completely reset all settings & hopefully set to the proper video output.

how can u fix this black screen? the green power light is on, shows vista for a bit then turns black and stays black. any solutions or do i have to send it back?

Have you tried disconnecting the power from the wall? Or power cycling your entire entertainment center? Possibly even check to make sure the VGA cable (or any other cable) didn't somehow come looose?
