I've seen this problem answered on your website but it didn't help ME....My printer is not printing. It goes through all the steps, sounds like the ink is printing and there are no errors displayed on my computer or the printer. I put brand new cartridges in, have cleaned & deep cleaned the printer head, aligned print head, & checked nozzle (all have been done a few times). I'm going crazy! I can't afford a new printer right now. It doesn't print anything from the computer nor from the copier.

> have cleaned & deep cleaned the printer head,
If your printer isn't used often, the print-head is likely clogged and no amount of machine 'cleaning' will restore it to function. Your problem caused me to abandon ink-jets forever and go with a laser printer. I used to maintain inkjets and the only method that seemed to have any effect on a clogged print-head is either replacement of the head and have had limited success by soaking the print-head in household ammonia for hours and finally bought an ultrasonic cleaner and used the ammonia bath to free up clogged heads. After having serviced these turkeys for two decades, I finally tired of the necessity of cleaning print-heads for the few printing tasks I still do. The very early HP inkjets were pretty good at lasting through a few days of non-use but the technology was also much coarser than the current units. I LOVE my Samsung CLP-310; it ALWAY prints when I need it.

SOURCE: I have MP830 - colors

You may have a bad printhead, it's just like a light bulb and burns out after much use. Also the cleaning assembly has 2 sections for cleaning, one for color and one for black, and if one pump quits you will need a new purge assembly, a job best done at a shop. I would try the printhead first, QY6-0061-000

SOURCE: Canon pixma mp530 not printing

Inkjet printers need to be used frequently to prevent inkdrying out in the print head nozzles.
If the print head cleaning maintenance routine does not clear the blockages, then print head needs replacing, but it may be expensive.
It may be more cost effective to buy a later model and better printer thanreplace the print head.

Jam on roller

I had many jams using a Kodak printer, but lately I've been fanning the paper, which they may have told me to do, but I didn't know how to do it. Here is a step by step way to do it. Take the stack of paper you plan on using in your printer & straighten it by taking it by each side & tapping it on a surface (like a desk top). Bend the stack of paper as if going to fold it in half. On one side, the stack is fanned out. Grab the paper on the long sides with both hands & slide it into the printer tray. Go ahead & print, I've had fewer jams since loading my paper this way. Give it a try, see if it works for you!!!

The printer is printing dark along side the edges of the paper each time I print. I've changed the drum, but that didn't seem to help. What else can I do?

Print an empty word document, and if it still shows the dark lines on the edges the rollers are most likely caked with ink, and they will need to be cleaned.

It takes 2-3 minutes to spool before it prints. Runs on a network, 6 users and a file server. Printer connected via USB to file server

Okay, it's been some time since the thread started,
but finally I think I found a solution...

yea after all it was a problem with the windows firewall.
I've seen people saying add specific files to the firewall exceptions list,
but didn't work.. so I just tried adding EVERY single executable file in the folder
C:\Windows\System32\spool\drivers\w32x86\3 to the list,

and voila it worked!

however printing sharing through network still seems slow. :P

Printer,scanner,copier question.........? -

I
have a HP Deskjet F4235. When I try to scan a paper it says \'an error
occurred while communicating with scanning device\'. I didn\'t put in the
ink cartilage for printing. Do you think that is the problem? How can I
solve this problem?
Best Answer: Try updating the driver for your Deskjet. driver updates seem to be needed/ otherwise sounds like a connection prob/ not software really.

Missing characters, missing print barcode lines

Hi, It's been a while since I worked on these, so I'll go out on a limb (as far as my rating goes) and say that the few times I've seen that happen usually results from a bad network card. Now you may not be using a network card, so if your not then I'm not really sure what would cause that to happen on the printer side. The environments that I've seen that happen in are with an AS400 and the network card just gave out. You most likely tried this, but you might want to make sure that the computer isn't using one driver for both printers. Good luck.
