My Power Acoustik PTID-8970NRB radio will not work at all. I have had some previous problems with it such as the amp over heating and shutting down, but as of now, the radio will not even turn on. when i turn my key over, the blue light that is located where the cd/dvd goes in will flash but thats it...the time wont come on, it wont open, and it wont turn on, whether i push the power button or hold it for several seconds...any solutions to the problem or even just whats wrong would be greatly appreciated! Thanks! Ryan...

    I tried changing the grounding of the wire and mine still isn't working

Just ground you brake wire directly to the metal frame. It should work fine. Goodluck.

electric tape the wire to the metal on the top of the unit. thats it. ive had it that way for a year and its worked great

Speakers are thumping and cracking when powered up...why?
you are better off setting your deck speakers amp to a high pass filter setting on the amp. Adjust gains to increase desired bass and clarity. Turn off loud button if you have one, that will distort your deck speakers.
