I thought your amp hase ony one channel?!
If one channel connect like this:http://img203.imageshack.us/i/suzman701....
If you have two channel connect one speeker to one channel and other ond second channel.
Speaker on amp port, speaker - on amp - port!!!

The BAMF 5500/1D is a single channel amp. Connecting speaker wires as protuha suggests in his comment will cause protection to be activated on the amp and may even damage the amp. Connect as per the diagram only! (And as per protuha's original solution)
The sum total of the 2 speakers's max power should be 5500 Watt or more in the above configuration. If the total wattage of the speakers is less then speaker damage may occur at full power settings.

If you connect two speakers in serial way, resistance will be 2ohm and max amp power on 2ohm is 2500W(not 5000W as you say), so the speakers should be more than 2500w to prevent damage or don't use full amp power.

Yes you can connect but it needs to be serial not parallel connection. Because 1ohm is the smallest resistance for that amp, dont connect ++ on amp + and -- on amp minus port. You need to solder and isolate + from one and - from other speaker, and connect + from one on + amp port ,and - from other on - amp port.
That way resistance will be 2 ohm and you can that way connect up to max 2500w speker power.
Hope i helpped.

Will the amp blow my speakers?

If you bridge the amp and get 1000 watts RMS and that is split going to two speakers then you will get 500 watts RMS at each speaker. If you have your amplifier on maximum gain it may blow your speakers, not because they are overpowered but because you might run into "clipping" issues running the amp at maximum capacity. Just to be safe I would dial the amp's gain down to 3/4 of the way to full gain. That should give you ample power and keep your amp from clipping and running hot.

Which amplifier is best suitable for me to use?

This really depends on the setup you intend to create in your vehicle.

The Amplifer (amp) needs to be matched to the speakers you intend to run.

As a rule of thumb, the power of the amp shouldn't exceed the max. power of the speaker (this may damage your speaker). Instead, the amp's RMS output power should be at 75-100% of the speaker's RATED (RMS) input power. NOTE: this must NOT be confused with max power.

Ideally, you want to run each speaker with its own amp channel.

A subwoofer will usually require a hi-power single channel amp, or a 2 channel amp, bridged into 1 (to increase power output required for the sub).

Here are some examples in simpler terms:

1 channel (hi power) amp can run a subwoofer.
2 channel amp can run 2 speakers, or 1 sub (bridged).
4 channel amp can run 4 speakers, or a combination of 2 spkrs + 1 sub (bridged), or perhaps 2 subs (bridged).

Hope this makes sense.

I have a jvc kd r310 cd player and im running a 4 channel amp and 2 subs. How do i hook up another 4 channel amp to run my door speakers and rear speakers

There should be a "line out" on your amp. Take a pair of RCA patch cable and run it fron "line out" of the 1st amp to the "Line in" of the 2nd amp. Then wire that 4ch amp for your speakers.

I have a bamf 5500 series and the amp is on and working but when i turn up the volume the amp will go into protect mode and stay there untill i turn the volume back down then the amp comes out of protect...

you probably have a blown sub(s) that short out when the volume is turned up. it would be a good idea to find out which one(s) is bad and replace it. sooner or later it may make the amp go bad if not replaced or removed.

Speakers to amp

With the CLS-215 speakers, you can Bi-Amp or Bi-Wire them.

Here is how to Bi-Wire and Bi-Amp Speakers:

How to wire 2 opti1533d by lanzar with the optidrive 2000d amp? how do i wire them if i put 1 amp on each sub

your speakers are 1 ohm per voice coil, dual oice coil. your amp is no lower than 2 ohms stable mono.

the proper way to wire this so that you do not burn out the amp is to run the 2 vioce coils in series. run the positive lead from the amp into the positive lead of one of the voice coils, then run a jumper wire from the same voice coil's negative lead to the same speaker's 2nd voice coil's positive input. then run from the 2nd voice coil's negative back to the amplifier's negative speaker lead.

you will be running for each speaker/amplifier set: amp + to terminal set 1 +, terminal set 1 - to terminal set 2 +, then terminal set 2 - to amp -

Can you run 200watt 6ohm speakers on the RX-V490

Hi I have just read the specs on about your Yamaha system and you cant run 6 ohm speakers to your amp. You have to impedance match the speakers and the amp otherwise the speakers will "blow". So you need some 8 ohm speakers, the wattage of the speakers doesn't particularly matter as long as they are not too weak or too powerful becasue the amp will drive the speakers no matter what but if the speakers are of a low wattage then the amp could blow the speakers if it is turned up too loud. The specs of your amp are given in the link below.

Amp & sub wiring

Whether you should run them series or parallel depends on the ohms of the speakers and the rating of the amp. If the amp rating is 2 ohms and the speaker are 4 each, then you can run parallel. When you connect speakers in parallel, the total impedance (ohms) is calculated by dividing the impedance of one speaker by the number of speakers, assuming they're all the same. When in series, add the speaker impedances together (i.e. 2 speakers 4 ohms each=8 ohms) Going over the amp rating doesn't hurt anything but the level of sound, but when you go below it, you'll eventually burn out the amp.

Hope this helps, and please rate my advice.
Thank you, and good luck!!
