Hi,

This Camera does not have the feature for superimposing the dates on images. The new models do not have the feature of superimposing directly as many customers did not want this feature because accidentally they had this option On and the Date and Time stamp got printed on the photos even they didn't want it.
However, the new cameras that are equipped with the EXIF technology gives you an option to superimpose the date and time later by using compatible EXIF software. When you print the images at a shop, images can be printed with the date if you ask them to do so.
You can use the Picture Motion Browser Software for inserting the date and time. Click here for the steps to insert the date using the Software.
You can also connect the camera to a Pictbridge compatible Printer to print the images with Date and Time. You can also use the MS Paint to insert the Date & Time.

I have the sony cyber shot DSC-W230 camera and I am wondering if I can select a number of pictures and insert a date. Instead of going through each picture and inserting the date that way?

No, unfortunately there's no way to batch insert a date to a bunch of photos you've already taken. If you're wanting a date on all the photos I'd suggest going into the menu and there's an option so that the date and time is recorded onto the photos.

Cyber-shot DSC-W50 Digital Camera: how can i insert date on all the pictures...

The date and time (and a lot more) are stored with every picture in its EXIF metadata. To print this, please consult the documentation for whatever program you're using to print your pictures. Depending on the program and printer you may print the date on the image, in the margins, or on the back.

Date in Word Docs

It is one way or the other. Either, you hard code the date, and it never updates, or use the auto-update.

For your purposes, since the date needs to be hard coded, for compliance, it looks like you'll need to edit the date manually.

Revision Date Insert into MS Word

Since you would be "saving" a change to the document (being a revision), you may want to look into inserting a "Field" named "SaveDate" so it will hold the date the doc was saved.

Position your cursor where you'd like the date to be in your docuemnt, then: Insert > Field... > In Field names, select SaveDate, select a format and click <OK>.

Hope this helps!
