Where the -tank, lines ,fuel ****? , o ring between carb body and bowel? is it running ok? if not and fuel is coming out of carb than your float and needle is stuck by gummy deposits. you will have to remove float bowel and gently pull down on float ,a good carb cleaning is in order ,might as well check main jet and others for blockage.SHUT OFF FUEL AND KEEP FUEL VAPORS AWAY FROM IGNITION SOURCES do not run it if you have a leak.

My Predator 6500 is leaking gas when the gas is in the on position, to run the generator. How do I fix this? The snow just started and I may need it.

The carburetor needs cleaning and possible a few parts in it needs replacing.

It is the result from sitting and the fuel drying up in fuel bowl gumming up the entire carburetor.

I have a Honeywell HW5500 generator that is leaking gas between carb and manifold.

My HW5500 is a little more than one year old. It leaks gas after the gas valve is opened. I took the carburetor apart. It turns out the float valve (needle) was corroded. The valve got stuck in the open position by the loosened particles. I smooth it out & cleaned up the corrosion for a temporary fix. It works for now. I am looking for a replacement valve with better quality for a permanent fix.

Generator is leaking gasoline out through the carburator when not running. Also, fuel shutoff valve at bottom of gas tank will not shut off completely. What are probable causes and price to fix ??

Most often fuel leaking out the carb is caused by a needle and seat problem in the carburetor / the float level shaft screw may have come loose due to the vibration of the engine ,this will cause a leak issue with the needle and seat as well. To complete the repair the carb will have to be removed and cleaned. Replace the needle and seat if necessary an then replace the carb.

New Onan 4000 watt gas RV generator cuts out

The generator engine is jetted for sea level. When you run at 24 hundred feet, it's flooding out. That's what you smell. The carb will need to be jetted for high altitude.
