I had the same problem.... I took it all apart lubricated everything, checked everything. Same result.
So.... I changed the batteries. Fresh batteries work perfectly! I initially used rechargeables that clearly didn't have enough juice.

The deadbolt may very free inside the deadbolt hole... This system is low torque and a over torque clutch may slip if the dead bolt it's not completely free inside the deadbolt hole... Also, if you try to open the door before to unlock it, you may block the deadbolt... take care to unlock the door before open it. to be sure that the dead lock is ok, you can turn the manual knob and be sure is turning very very easily.

Also are you no that POWERBOLT is a 3 codes memory? go to that link to see more info about that : http://www.fixya.com/support/t8006865-not_overwrite_old_codes_just_keeps

Frozen trunk lock

Sounds like the latch is sticking. Try spraying it with a lubricant like Liquid Wrench, or anything that will leave an oily residue on the latch parts. I've found that WD40 does not work well in the cold. When you get some oil into it, work the latch back and forth until it moves easily (ie. use a screwdriver to push the latch closed, then open it again with the key or the electric release from inside the car). You may have to lock & unlock multiple times.

If it does move easily, there could be a problem in the latch like broken or bent parts, or an unhinged return spring. The latch assembly is easily replaced from the inside by removing the bolts. Then you will need a new latch assembly from your local dealer or you can try your local scrap yard for the parts.

Toyota 4runner Lift Gate Won't Close/Open

Insert the key and turn the lock cylinder while lifting up on the lift gate. You have to get the gate open. Once open, The strike plate (where the locking mechanism hits) is bolted to the jamb. Loosen the bolts and slightly move it toward the rear of the vehicle. NOT TOO MUCH!
Tighten the bolts, and try it. Hope this helps.

Steering wheel wont lock and stuck in park

In the fuse block under the drivers side rear seat check the ignition 0 fuse. In the under hood fuse block check the B/U fuse and the BTSI fuse. If the b/u fuse is blown than you would not have back up lamps.

My key pad does not respond at all, no beeps and does not lock or unlock door. Thought it was the batteries but I changed them and it still does not work. When I put the new batteries in it did flash...

There is only a one year warranty on the electronics and the maker (Stanley-Black and Decker) will not sell the electronic parts separately. Check the installation manual for a reset procedure - basically the lock might be "forgetting" it's programming. Another possibility is that it's trying to move the bolt and can't. Be sure the bolt moves freely.
If the electronics have failed and it's out of warranty, there are other brands that are key-compatible with Kwikset. Weiser locks can also be keyed to be compatible with Kwikset. You'll still have the same problem if the electronics breaks though. The main difference is that other brands don't move the bolt with battery power, they just enable it to be moved by hand.

Door adjustment for a 96 f350 dropped about 1/2"

Here's the solution: You might want to park it under a tree and tie a rope to the door to pull it up when loosened.
ADJUSTMENT Fig. 1: Door hinge adjustment 84920001.gif
Fig. 2: Rear door hinge adjustment, F-350 Crew Cab 84920002.gif
NOTE: Loosen the hinge-to-door bolts for lateral adjustment only. Loosen the hinge-to-body bolts for both lateral and vertical adjustment.
  1. Determine which hinge bolts are to be loosened and back them out just enough to allow movement.
  2. To move the door safely, use a padded prybar. When the door is in the proper position, tighten the bolts to 19–25 ft. lbs. (25.5–34.5 Nm) and check the door operation. There should be no binding or interference when the door is closed and opened.
  3. Door closing adjustment can also be affected by the position of the lock striker plate. Loosen the striker plate bolts and move the striker plate just enough to permit proper closing and locking of the door.

I can't lock the rear hatch door on my yukon. There is no key lock and the remote button locks all the other doors but the rear hatch remains unlocked. Also the button on the inside of the vehicle does not...

The lock is stuck in the "locked" position.
When you close the hatch, it is jamming the latch hook into the wrong area.

Manually open the hatch. Unlock the hatch (even tho the hatch is already open). there are two bolts holding the metal "loop", the loop has moved. Adjust the metal loop and close the hatch / lock it, etc.

Garage Door opened but will not close. I opened

I think the trolley has jammed against the bolt just in front of the motor unit. Remove the bolt and then run the door until it is closed. With the door closed locate the 'up limit' control on the side of the motor unit. Turn this 2 turns in the opposite direction of the arrow printed on the cover. Replace the bolt.
