Hello, let do this. IR illuminator has a montary switch, that is when you push it comes on, and when you release it the IR goes off and it has a red LED to indicate the IR illuminator is being activated.

When you turn you binocular on there will be a green LED activated. This switch is DTSA---double throw sing activated. That is, one throw of the switch it turns on the binocular, the throw will turn off the binocular.

Also within the control panel there is timing circuit to keep the IR illumniator on for ten second the shuts off. Make sure you have the right switches etc. Let me know, then we can brain storm on this matter. stewbison

Works sometimes

It could be a lot of things; such as, faulty wire connection, cold solder joint, HV voltage arcing, corroded battery terminals. intermittent short in the switches. If it stop work, try gently shaking it several times, push the on/off button several times. make sure the battery makes a good connection in the battery compartment. Wrap it up and put it in your freezer for a few hours. There are electronic components that might get hot/warm and by cooling them down they will start working again. I don't know who manufactured Night Owl NOTG1 Goggles or who manufacture the components. Rissia manufactures make a lot of night vision devises and components. Also, there are a lot of countries in world that manufacture NV devises, and their parts. GB...stewbison

I dont have a manual with my paramount night vision. how do you operate it. i can get a red light but thats all.

Hello, You should have two switches, one for on/off and the other for IR intensifier (red). There should be or not two LED one green to indicate on/off--no green LED it off, if the green LED glows green it on. The same with IR luminator, red is glowing the IR is on, if not glowing red, it off.

Make sure you have new batteries and make sure that the polaity is correct---positive +,
negative -.

Push the on button, if you push the right button the green LED will glow, then push IR button. Put you hand in front of the monocular and see if there is a red glow on the palm of you hand, if there is then the IR is on. Never look into the IR lens. Now you can look through the eye piece.

Now, if there no green tent inside of the monocular then there are other problems with you NV devise.

Never, and I mean NEVER look at bright light at night or in the daylight. This will destroy the image tube. That is one reason why they are call night vision....Only for viewing in the dark. stewbison

My husband has a Paramount moonlight night vision NV 100 that the lumint red light comes on but the night vision stopped working after only a few months it was bought a few years ago he put up and forgot...

Hello. The red light is the IR (infrarad luminator) this inhance the night vision capabilities of the scope, monocular. Do not look directlly into the IR tube, The Paramount Moonlight has gone to the land of the Red Star. The scope contract is up. it junk, to expensive to repair. stewbison

My pvs7 wont stay on thay shut of after 30 seconds and then start to shut of ever few seconds

Hello, have you or someone else pointed this night vision devise at bright lights, street lights, head lights. If so, maybe the damage has/hasn't alread been done. STOP. This PVS-7 goggles with ITT image tube with generation 2 or 2+ or possibly generation 3 tube. The devise is an American made unit, and the best in the world. Nobody can compete with the USA on NV. They sat the standards on Night Vision.

Have you replace the 6 volt battery? Get the goggle in a darken room then turn the switch on.
see if the 25mm plate will turn green and stay on. But first replace that battery.
Therefore, if this test works, then never and I mean never shine NV devises into bright lights, it will destroy them every time.

PS. send me another message and let see what happen. stewbison

Yukon spartan my pic is not clear light works but cannot get focu

Define 'clear'.
Is it blurry? Focus the scope or clean the lenses.
Is it distorted? Don't know how to fix. Especially if the lens is cracked/scratched etc.
Is it dark/snowy? Put fresh batteries in.
Do you see black spots in the tube? Don't worry, certain amount of these are quite acceptable.
Anyway: It's a night vision for pete's sake. The picture won't ever be like the one on normal binoculars.
