My scanner HP 5000 does not work on windows 7,as the driver flatbed scanner 22 does not available,so from where could i get it ,similarly my hp laserjet 1020 also doesnot work on windows 7,please tell

There are no oficial drivers for windows 7 for that model of scaner.

I had the same problem (and maybe more using Windows 7 x64). Vuescan solve all by recognizing old scanners and working very well. The software is available to work in both x32 & x64.Flasharg

It is not likely that there will be driver support for Windows 7.

That scanner is not even on Microsoft's compatibility list for Windows 7 and is listed as unknown on the compatibility list for Windows Vista

There was no driver support for Windows Vista listed on HP support page as well so it is unlikely HP will develop and Windows 7 driver.

HP says they will not even provide a driver update for Vista.

If you can't find it with google, it doesn't exist.

HP does not have a driver for this scanner with either Vista or Windows 7. One workaround is available in Windows 7 Pro or Ultimate. You can set up the XP mode and install the scanner within the virtual computer. Scanned files may need to be put on an external drive to transfer them between the two "computers".
