Hi, I got a Belkin Enhanced Wireless router for Christmas. It only works about 4-8 hours a day. It's in mint condition. The bottom 2 lights (Modem light and Internet light) are not flashing green. I am stressed about it, because I really want to play Uncharted 2 Multiplayer on my PS3. I would be very grateful if someone could help me. Thank you.

At what times is it working? Or once you connect it all up it works for 4-8 hours a day? This will help me distinguish the problem or if there is a real problem at all.... So you can start playing your PS3 right away :)

@Hbaseballman, I'm not sure. The problem is, I think my Modem might be the problem. My new Belkin router says there's no Modem connected, even though it is connected. I also cant get Internet on it. It rarely gets connected to the Internet.

Makes sure the cable connecting your router and modem is an Ethernet Cable..... and also make sure it is connected in the right port which would be symboled by either the word Internet being by it or the word Ethernet..... Some times there is a light inside where you stick the cable in, make sure that is lighting up.... Also buying a new Ethernet Cable could fix the problem...... What type of Router do you have?

I need to change the name of my Belkin Wireless (automatic) name and password. Can you walk me through this?

How to quickly install and use your Belkin wireless G router 1. Step 1
Position your Belkin wireless G router.

Place your wireless G router in a wide open and central location. Don't connect the power plug into the router, yet. Make sure your computer is turned off.

2. Step 2
Connect all the devices.

Find the Ethernet cable that connects your PC to the modem. Unplug the Ethernet cable from your PC and insert it into the wireless G router's WAN port. You should have an additional Ethernet cable that came with your router. Take this cable and plug one end into one of the LAN ports on the router. Then connect the other end to your PC's Ethernet port.

3. Step 3
Turn on your modem, router, and PC.

Plug the power plug adapter into the modem. Turn on the modem. It'll take approximately 30 seconds for the modem to boot up. Connect the power plug adapter to the router and the other end into a power strip or outlet. Like the modem, it'll take about 30 seconds for the router to boot. Turn on your PC.

4. Step 4
Verify lights are on for your devices.

Make sure the following lights are on for your router: power, WAN, and LAN light. If you don't see any of them lit, confirm these devices are turned on. Make sure the Ethernet cable connections are installed correctly.

5. Step 5
Install and configure software.

Use the setup wizard application to configure your Belkin wireless G router. Set up features, such as creating your password and setting up your time zone. Continue to follow the setup wizard so you can configure  other settings.

jQuery('.article ol .image').each(function(i,e){ var $this = jQuery(this); $this.find('img').error(function(){ jQuery(this).remove(); $this.remove(); }); });
